ok so we are bottom in everything but....

So, what's your point?

That's irrelevant in the whole scheme of things-----still no reason to force people to connect only through PHL----
Newark and the New York airports have troubles just as US does in PHL, but it is how the airline handles it. US knew PHL would be a problem traffic wise, its just the way they need to learn how to deal with it. Less RJ flights and More Mainline for one. Just throwing an est. out, PHL-IAH has 5 RJ flights. Why not run 2 or 3 Mainline to replace them. Make the RJ's fly where they were made to, smaller cities. CO is an example, they do RJ's out the kazzoo as well, but they handle problems alot better. Can US figure it out? I highly doubt it. Its almost two years and the company is still two seperate worlds apart. One Certificate will not solve their problems. Tempe has to make its employees happy first. Look at CO and WN, they are both models to follow. Tempe's way is the cheapest, bad way to do things. You buy cheap, that's what you get. Sure money looks good in the interm, but sooner or later, its gonna lose you business and employees.

IAH-PHL is a great example of a screwed-up schedule. Too many RJ flights and not what I need as a PHL business flier. I need one early ...one mid day ...and one late. I need an F cabin because this isn't a short flight. Nearly the same story with PHL-DFW. Want to use a E90? OK. E70?...not for me please.

How about an employee led vote of no confidence in our leadership? They have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are incapable of runing this company. The old HP mangement team has decimated the employee morale and our ability to do our job. How long can we continue like this? There is nothing but spin coming out of Tempe . We can't look for leadership there , it doesn't exist. With this type of leadership we won't have to worry about our future too long because we won't have one. Lets try and get someone with the smarts of Crandall, Bethune or Gangwal. Didn't we have a good VP in CCY who went to an Indian LCC? It was thought at one time he might take over.

Phl has the numbers over Pit....easy as that.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) -- Pennsylvania's two largest cities each lost population during the 1990s while suburbs ballooned, especially in the east, according to national census data released Friday.
Philadelphia, the state's largest city, lost 4 percent of its population from 1990 to 2000, dropping by 68,000 people to 1,517,550, according to census figures. Pittsburgh, the state's second-largest city, lost 10 percent, dropping 35,000 people to 334,563 people.

Four of the five counties that make up suburban Philadelphia posted gains of at least 10 percent. Chester County recorded a 15 percent increase to 433,501 people.
Pennsylvania had 12.3 million people as of April 1, 2000.
I guess people are moving out of PA??! I wish people would get a clue in Phoenix, move out, and give us back our desert! Kind of like our mgmt.

OK, I'm not management and i'm NOT a fan of PHL either. I work in CSD and have for more years than one can count on. PHL has ALWAYS been the "problem child" of this airlines (both east and west). The attitudes of the people working there is the main problem. I've only talked to 2 people who have ever been helpful and have really shown initiative to fix a problem. I get appalled at the attitudes from the majority of the people on these boards. Where do we start to fix the problems? WITH US!!!!!!!!! Management can only do so much....it's US that matters....what we do and say and how we respond to the problems is how they can get fixed. Not everything is perfect...but, I say...it's all about ATTITUDE!!! so

STOP HAVING AN ATTITUDE...AND GET AN ATTITUDE...A POSITIVE ONE THAT HELPS CUSTOMERS AND FELLOW CO-WORKERS...IN OTHER WORDS...

STOP BITCHING AND GET TO WORK!

Just Another Happy Customer!

I challenge US Airways to explain why it has abandoned Pittsburgh for the nightmare that is Philly.

Because you folks whined and moaned that you wanted cheaper fares and demanded more competition. Well, you got what you wanted...so SHUT UP and deal with it!

Too bad Us Airways has such trouble with customer service.

I recall an America West flight that had a mechanical diversion to an express station. The station personnel came out, ordered 35 pizzas and broke out all the available sodas for the passsengers while they waited about 4 hours for a ferry flight to be diverted to pick them up. A bad situation made a little better by some folks with a can-do attitude.
