OK, doesn't want to pay AA

I don't know what kind of deal they have in PIT, but on top of all the money Tulsa has spent to keep AA there, they even pay their electric bill.

Wait I thought it was the TWU that kept TUL open, it's actually the City of Tulsa who literally keep the light on there.

How many OSMs are at Tulsa and are filling what use to be mech positions? How many of the OSMs use to be mechs at AA and are now OSMs?

Tough questions.  I do know that some of the first OSMs were former guards.  They made them OSMs and hired rent-a-cops for security.  Then came all the managers' friends and family and women from the typing pool and credit union.  After they could find anyone who never thought about being a mechanic they started hiring licensed A&P mechanics and making them OSMs.  Of course there are people like my buddy BigMac who is a machinist and hired on as an OSM but can't get upgraded into a machinists job because of more shenanigans from the TWU, like putting other OSMs into machinists jobs with no machinist experience.  But at one time we were told that everyone in the OSM classification that had an A&P license had been upgraded to AMT.  Right now there is no telling.  I would imagine that if there are no AMTs forced into OSM jobs right now there will be.  The OSMs (used to be SRPs) were the brain child of the TWU local 514 president Marion Finley.  AA threatened to outsource so they were given the SRP to "Insource the outsourcing".  Bad move that the TWU would never admit as a mistake and therefore will never let it go.  There would have been FSC doing menial work in the interiors along with the OSM-As who would sign off the work with the FSCs making higher pay than the OSM-A.  (OSM-A being an OSM with an A&P license but with no license pay.)  This would have happened if the 2010 TA passed.  Thankfully it didn't.  The TWU is constantly trying to lower wages for AMTs while raising them for everyone else.  They want us to pay for the privilege of working for AA.  Of course other groups don't have to pay for their jobs it seems.
