US Airways to cut about 45 jobs at Norfolk International
By MICHAEL DAVIS, The Virginian-Pilot

NORFOLK — Five months after filing for its second bankruptcy since 2002, US Airways Group Inc. has warned that it plans to cut jobs at Norfolk International Airport.

The troubled airline wants to eliminate its local utility and fleet service operations, union officials were told this week, and contract the work out to another vendor.

Same to ya boeing , take care and talk to ya later !!! 😀

Thanks for getting me out mostly on time in 3 years, except for whoever pulled the APU too early off the E-170 one time when it first landed.

I remember once the 737 headed to PHL early one May 2004 morning that was leaking water from the roof, and seeing a mechanic balanced on his knees trying to repair the leak. It looked like duct tape, but whatever, I knew that I was in safe hands and the roof wasn't going to blow off. We got in just a bit late with the padded time and so forth.

I could not do that job.... thank you!!

Interesting they have yet to make a decision about customer service employees.

Will this be a trend?
