Non Rev Boarding

I could be wrong, but I thought the issue of date-of-hire was settled when the FA seniority list was merged. Call the union and ask them.

Well that merged seniority list only exists when we have a joint contract. We have already been waiting 4years now, and we see no light at the end of the tunnel.

So it would be fair if they adjusted the DOH in the system for non reving at least for AWA FAs.

That doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how the company boards employees.

And....YOU call the union yourself and ask them. I really have no dog in that fight. Bottom line is that I don't really care a whole lot about whether a AWA flight attendant gets the DOH he/she really deserves. We have our own battles. I was just commenting on how it was handled in previous mergers

The YOU I was talking to was the general person who may not understand and want clarification on if East and West were using the same date-of-hire date. Not YOU specifically. I know what my date of hire is for non-rev and it goes back to PSA express. And has never changed.

You are not alone my friend.Passenger service employees contract article 8-seniority DOH boarding for on line non rev space available travel..staff grievance filed for all CWA members.
Contract language for the passenger service agents

1 Article 8 – Seniority

3 in any department.

25 Passenger Service Seniority Date and Pay Seniority Date, which will
26 be the first day worked in the Passenger Service Organization.
27 B. Pay Date Seniority is defined as continuous service within the Passenger
28 Service Organization. Pay Date Seniority is adjusted for:
29 1. all time lost due to an unpaid leave of absence extending beyond
30 thirty (30) days except that Military leave will not result in an
31 adjustment to Pay Date Seniority;
32 2. all furloughs extending beyond ninety (90) days;
33 3. all unpaid suspensions extending beyond thirty (30) days.

Besides the West FA''s not having the same DOH as the of rest of the FA's
AWA FA's also flied a grievance about our passes and first come-first serve, (this is all spelled out in the AWA contract) and FEB 2008 the arbitrator found in favor for AWA FA, NOT the company.
But guess what nothing has changed. We are still doing non-rev by date of hire, and now the company is giving in to the day of hire.........

SO how do we fix this...........

Moderator Note: East vs. West posts that are intended to be nothing more than flame bait will be deleted without further comment.

Sorry it not intended to bait,
It is more that the company seems to keep baiting the work groups against each other.
For me ones as good as another but I feel the company even in the regards to non-rev likes the work groups to fight.

That way you're more interested in what your counterparts are (or arent) getting instead of paying attention to what Tempe is (or isnt) doing instead. Great diversion tactics, huh? :down: Too bad some groups are more interested in fighting among themselves instead of getting their stuff settled and focusing on what management is (or isnt) getting done.

Question....

Has US dropped the dress code for non revs? I did not know you could non rev wearing your ramp uniform..looked kind of tacky and ghetto....

Look around the rest of the plane and our NEW TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC.....actually the ramp guys and gals are probably over dressed. :lol:

I see commuters wearing their uniforms all the time. Ramp/Mechanics/etc. are employees the same as crew members, no difference if they are commuting wearing their company issued uniform.

Is it flaming to point out that the policy is whoever had been here the longest gets on the firstus......what a concept. How about boarding by relative seniorty....yea that's it.
