No Triple Play for Oct

you get exactly what?
HP passenger service agents had the worst pay benefits and cronyism in the industry US passenger service contract brought them up to industry standard

US east agents had to take a strike vote and threaten a strike just to kept from being lower to HP level

It hurts way more then it helps but I don't expect any of you to admit it or even consider the damage being unionized has done to the industry and even your day to day jobs.
That's funny, because if it wasn't for a union I'd have probably been cycled out by now Express style and wouldn't even have this job. The fashion these days is to turn and burn employees; bring them in, work them down, and after a time if they haven't made it there themselves, show them the door, and repeat. Did you ever consider that it's organized labor's ability to retain experience in the industry that allows for the levels of safety and performance we enjoy?

Then again I have to think anybody who opposes organized labor in every form and industry doesn't expect to be taken seriously anyway. By assuming that the convictions and experiences of others you don't agree with are mere unionized brainwashing inventions, you sound exactly as ignorant and short-sighted as you claim them to be.

So back on topic...yay $50! B)

If you could shop your skills between companies and negotiate your own rates you would have more pay especially for the pilots. And this thread is off topic like almost all here because the union folks can't refrain from making stupid, mindless, pointless, negative comments about every subject! They have ruined this board. I thought the Mods were going to address this but if the professional beotchers where banned there would be no one left here. My rant for the day, carry on.

Hey Up,

How did that work at Delta when they filed bankruptcy and they employees had no say in what happened to them?

How did that work at Delta when they instituted their Leadership 7.5 program?

How did that work out in 1992 at US Airways when they took the non-union workers sick time, vacation time, oji time, froze their pension, outsourced mail, freight, catering and express?

How did it work when they took 40% of the full timers and made them part time and then had to make them pay over $300 a month for insurance only working 20 hours a week?

And funny I didnt see US or DL negotiate with their employees over those changes.

Union brainwashed fools the lot of you!

US had over 8,500 applications for FA’s and Delta over 100,000 you are not underpaid obviously! You guys are economically challenged but well at little sayings and mindless patter!
Every time airline paid the unions what they think they are worth you went into BK.

You probabaly voted for Obama too!

Um..Try Over 11,000 Applicants in Only a couple of months..And Delta had 100,00 in a years time..So if you add what it would be for a year..132,00 Applicants..

Your Probabaly a Republican or Tea Bagger!!

Fair enough 700 but what about unions trying to destroy America?

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/afl-cio-leader-gladly-accepts-communist-party-award/

Union leaders are some of the more anti-American people in this country now. Don't even get me started on the SEIUleadership.

Do you think that just maybe the weakening of the unionized labor movement in this country has something to do with the quickly shrinking middle class?

The middle class expanded in lock step with unions, and now is disappearing at a commensurate rate.

Do you think that the 40 hour work week, annual vacation, health benefits, etc. that many non-union workers take for granted appeared out of the generosity of heart of corporate managers? Those things and more that most think nothing about were fought for and won by union action decades ago.

Kill the unions, kill the middle class. It's just that simple. Look around. It's happening today, and YOU HAVE THE GALL TO CALL UNIONISTS ANTI-AMERICAN?

The union busting mentality of people like you will destroy the economic viability of the United States. In fact, it may be too late to recover our slide into third-world status (thanks to people like you.)

Uninformed you are, unions are pro socialism/pro communism and that will kill the middle class!

What I don't understand is the rank and file, which are certianly not radical leftist, so why do they tolerate leadership that is?

(thanks to people like you.)
BTW people like me are the vast majority of the public.
Unions are right there with Congress and Lawyers in public opinion and there is a legit reason why people think like that. I come form family in Penn and Canada all decimated by the steel unions to protect the few at the top.
Your in a favorable union envrionment here the rest of the country not so much.

Uninformed you are, unions are pro socialism/pro communism and that will kill the middle class!

There's no defense of that statement given the reality of today.

You boast that unions are weaker and almost non-existent, but on the other hand you claim they are killing the economy.

You can't have it both ways. (Actually, that's another characteristic of you mindset. Reality can neve get in the way of your opinions.)

Communist? Socialist? Your bunch loves to throw those hot-button words around like you really even know their meaning.

Look in the mirror and see a fascist. (And I KNOW what that word means.)

Mirror, mirror on the wall....
