New Uniforms

Ever since Debbie went through "the change", she has mastered the art of sewing two skirts together...you should talk to her...i'm sure she could figure something out with that lovely sweater blouse.

It's been all downhill for Debbie since they got rid of the "Mushroom Blouse"...memba that one?

I didn't find anyone wearing the uniform wrong today, in fact all I got was good pictures!! I tried to get as much variety as possible - - everyone in the pictures was aware I was posting, but if you get anyone that wants it removed let me know...

Here are some people having fun in the new threads!

Shannon...Y'all looked great yesterday and thanks for not posting a picture of me YET!
(Post it if you want just so our USAVers know who to blacklist out Weast :) )

I finally got my new uniforms yesterday. My Skirts and pants fit perfectly. The sweater shell fit perfectly. The blazer was weirdly long in the arms but ok every where else. The zip sweater...um...I just don't know, I'm returning it and I'll probably replace it with the zip jacket. I wish they had a much better design for the sweater because I like wearing a light sweater when I'm on board. The bold scarf is too pretty for words.

Now, the shirts. When I tried them on the fit line they were great. Roomy and they didn't ride up when I lifted my arms. I tried them in feb and since then I've lost 10 lbs. I tried the shirts yesterday and I couldn't get past the second button. If anything I thought I would have been swimming in the shirts. Everything else that I bought is much looser than what I tried on the fit line. What gives? So I guess I can only wear my shell sweater for now *cries*

For all the complaining, I thought everyone looked very good this week. Obviously some people don't have body types to wear certain types of clothes. If they don't know how to pick clothes for themselves no one can help that situation.

Oh I'm sure some of my brothers will be addressing their female coworkers choice of uniform and it's fitting soon enough. And they'll help them with the proper fit and look.

edited by moderator...poor choice of words.

Obviously you dont watch Stacey and Clinton.

Overall I havent heard many complaints. One though is the females cant wear their shirt out over the skirt/skort and its a problem. Their shirts bunch up looking like they have a bulge around the waist and they keep coming out anyway because they have the slit in the side and ride up. They would like it changed where they can wear them out with the skirt/skorts.
Many are trying a new combo each day and its nice to see some color and pride in the uniform. Many of the agents we have a newbies and they've been wearing piece mealed outfits for a while now and they are thrilled to actually have a new uniform. Have had lots of compliments from the other airlines and customers as well.

SUBJEcT: New Uniforms

No doubt many of you are very excited to be wearing a new uniform after 18 years with the existing US Airways uniforms. As the rollout progresses we find most of the feedback positive. We did recieve a few suggestions, one in particular that we felt was worthy of sharing.

"if the F/A's want to wear the new sweater dress please advise them to ensure that their bosoms protrude further than their bellies do"

We agree!

Regards,

US Airways InFlight

Let the record show we have been in this uniform for 23 years. Yes people, we have people working for this company younger than this uniform!

No breast pocket for pens, as stated in first post.
I agree with that.
Blue shirts look post office shirts.

Just ok, I'll be washing since NO DRY CLEANING ALLOWANCE>>>>>

And those shirts IRONING>
Versus the old falling apart dress...I wore mine till it was ripped beyond repair..

The uniforms are NOT UP TO DATE..Its a uniform not a party dress..

I bought some Dryell the other day and used it and it worked. It was only $10 and you can do 4 loads with it I think. I will either use that or wash my uniforms in the washing machine. Until I get a uniform allowance or a big enough pay raise so that I don't have to work on my days off just to pay bills and feed myself, you can forget it! I won't be taking my uniforms to the dry cleaners.

just a ramprat here but i thought your new unis looked good maybe one day we will actually get some of course by that time they will say United or something else on them
