Have you ever flown the Bus?
Sorry, I should've been more clear. I presently fly the Bus. It makes me miss flying. The DC9 and 717 were dreams to hand fly. The Bus has the feel of a video game. No doubt it's a very comfortable cockpit and easy to land -- except in gusty crosswinds. I still enjoy flying airplanes and hope to fly a Boeing in the future. (Oh, the reason I don't currently bid to fly the 737 is due to air-conditioning and schedules.)

I understand what you mean, I enjoyed handflying Boeings and Douglas aircraft....but when it comes to flying 5 or 6 legs on the East Coast during T-storm season....I love the Bus....less fatigue at the end of a long day.

That being said, if you click everything off, including the Autothrust....it's not that much different than an old Boeing...just no feel in the stick.

Other nice thing about the Bus is...the sim and the aircraft are identical during single engine ops....had the opportunity to check it out in real life....just like the sim!

I loved flying TWA when it was TWA.. MD80s were comfy imo. A lot comfy then some of the cramped planes now.. Of course, I was a lot younger then. -_-
