Check back a couple of Postings - you were causght making up numbers - so lets talk half truths and scare tactics - that is what the IAM is famous for.

How is it when people are furloughed the IAM makes the claim that the union dosen't lay people off the company does, however the same ones then want to make the claim they will be responsible for bringing members back! The IAM contract only allows for 25 or 50 utility don't know the numbers sorry in heavy maintenance in CLT and PIT,the IAM dosen't know how many or if any mechanical and related will be brought back if and when any more work is brought back in house, just because a check is brought back in house dosen't mean the company has to bring anybody back. Work em with the manpower you got.

Gentleman when the IBT starts funding its pension to 120% the ill consider them .If they cant take care of the old retirees then i dont trust them. There pension funds are way underfunded...even though it will never be my pension my common sense tells me that if they didnt take care of there retirees then they arent what they say they are.
By the way isnt the Iam pension currently funded to 120%...that to me says it all.

fanlube...Not all true. CLT has had an influx of returning Mechanics of late...as people with Hire dates back to May of 1990 are being recalled. Not grand..but it's a starting point none the less.
On the "Related" side. 2 Planner Positions in CLT Base are up for open COB as of this time...and another position will need to be filled at the Engine Shop.
The issues with Utility is beyond poor..and on that , we both completely agree. 25 Ute's per Maintenance Base when you factor in their senority based vacation time and the alike is pure lunacy..but the facts remain..some workers are returning and job vacancies are there...and approved to be filled.
