New European Cities out of CLT to be announced .

US just reported their financials for the most recent quarter and overall they were strong - but they weren't as strong as they were a year ago. Employee costs, amortization, and landing fees all grew faster than revenue.

US had lower fuel costs than AA but higher than DL; AA and DL hedge while US does not.
 
US Airways was awarded Rome in 1996. What year did the A330 come into the fleet?

All the European routes were flown with the 767 in the 90's. But the 767 was also less than 10 years old at the time and more or less in line with what the competition was flying

The A330-300 started coming on line in 2000 with large business markets like LGW, CDG, FCO and MAN. I believe PIT and CLT also had a route or two with the A330. Not to mention, US won accolades from travelers for providing 3 distinct classes of service.
