New European Cities out of CLT to be announced .

Josh I was in the MIA AA club last month and the CLT US club last week and it was way better, especially in the quality of food served, but also much nicer digs too. The bathroom is the only thing I think AA did better.

Joshie will never "Man up" to that. I have called him out on it several times already. Given his in depth synopsis of the IAM and US, he may not even be a banker. He drops way too many names, and shows an extreme hatred of both to be an outsider. If he wasn't dissed by US and/or the IAM, his Daddy or someone close to him was. I'm willing to bet on it.

I love it - how US Airways always introduces new routes with shitty aircraft.... "When we start a new route, we've got to wow our customers" with our 757s and 767s that are falling apart and have no in-seat IFE.

CLT to LIS in the middle seat of the last row of a 757 with no IFE, can't wait to do that.

"Last year, US Airways flew more than 1.2 million international passengers from Charlotte, up 25 percent from 2008. That’s slightly fewer than the 1.4 million international passengers US Airways flew from Philadelphia, which it calls its “international gateway.”"
A slam at Philly. The small item missing is the difference in International O&D between the 2 airports. My bet is that this move is related to Post merger and/or OW planning, else why would US/*A Add/Duplicate seasonal, low yield flights at all, rather than expanding to new international destinations? On the other hands, it could also be the first step in an assumed merger GO to make CLT =ATL and dehub PHL, or simply Parker's temporary reward for CLT/NC not joining the DOJ. Temporary, because these routes will likely disappear before they start if the merger is approved this year, in favor of PHL/JFK - assuming the plan is to re-structure PHL to support a OW international hub. Whatever the reason, this move seems to subtly signal that CLT will continue to be Parker's favorite son and a major player in US's plans.

Which one, D15 or D30? D15 is on the small side granted but it's much better than anything US has including CLT and PHL-A. I don't know about you, I don't visit the lounge to dine, I go to work, relax, access wifi and charge my PEDs. Better dining at La Carreta or Cafe Versailles than anything CLT has sorry. Besides US is all packaged junk food and occasionally processed soups or olives...yuck. And besides the AA agents are much better than US. End of story.

Oh please US is the most pathetic among the US legacy carriers everyone knows that. You have the worst inflight service standards, worst terminal/gate facilities at most airports you serve, worst club lounges I mean heck it took them three years to get a liquor license at BOS.

The US 762 and 752 are a joke particularly for long haul flying but hey flying the trash connecting yields those flights will serve the pax probably don't care and the employees don't know any different.

Josh

Visited the Star Alliance clubs in Paris this past June and the Star Alliance club in London in July. Neither were very nice. We had to find seats covered in leather as the fabric covered seating was so stained that you didn't know what you were sitting on. Also, the food was nothing to write home about. The US Clubs in both CLT and PHL are superior to the Star clubs in London and Paris.

Just ignore this guy. I've dealt with the type before. They like to make flaming comments to get everyone all worked up and then sit back and laugh.
