Folks I closed the other thread. With the chance of another storm, lets use this thread to report weather conditions & how US opns. are doing. Please keep it on this topic. Off topic posts will be removed & possible time out may be given.

Lots of "pre-cancellations" for Weds (including PHL-Europe!). Doing that seems to have worked fairly well last weekend, let's hope it goes well this time.

heard that BWI DCA and PHL may get up to 2 feet of snow, sounds like record breaking snow this winter.

Weds should be a good day for Amtrak in the NE corridor (assuming they will run). No US DCA-LGA shuttle flights. Don't know about DL.

My late afternoon 1 day was cancelled for today, TUE.

My a.m. first turn was also cancelled for WED. Afternoon turn still good, but I am to call before I head to the airport.

If my experience over the weekend is an indication of how this newly approaching is to be handled, then we should be fine over the next couple of days. OCC did an outstanding job. Kudos and keep up the good work! You guys are the best in the business! IMHO you always have been

My parents were supposed to fly AVP-PHL-LAX tomorrow. US cancelled all of the AVP-PHL flights, but they are still confirmed on the 4:10PM PHL-LAX flight.

They are of course stressing out, because it is their nature to stress out even during normal operations. I told them to hire a driver to take them to PHL.

USAPA Scheduling Committee

We were told they canceled all the Europe bound flights on Wednesday.

Given the very light transatlantic loads nowadays, this should save the company a bundle of money and there should be little problem accommodating pax on the following days (with full airplanes.)

One question is are the express carriers who get paid on completion factor still getting paid for USAirways requiring them to cancel flights
