Bad weather day in the Northeast, complete with some silly name from the folks at the Weather Channel.
Lost of flights cancelled or delayed.
From the NWS:
WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM EST WEDNESDAY... ... WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 11 AM EST WEDNESDAY...
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS... 8 TO 14 INCHES... HIGHEST AMOUNTS ALONG THE DELAWARE RIVER.
* TIMING... SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO FALL MODERATE AT TIMES AND SLOWLY DECREASE IN INTENSITY THIS EVENING AND END OVERNIGHT.
* IMPACTS... TRAVEL WILL BE HAZARDOUS DUE TO SNOW COVERED ROADS AND PERIODS OF VERY LOW VISIBILITY. AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT. DRIVING WILL BE HAZARDOUS AT BEST THROUGH TONIGHT. THE MORNING COMMUTE ON WEDNESDAY WILL ALSO BE AFFECTED BY DRIFTING SNOW.
Does anyone have an interesting story to share?
Discussion on social media from CWA folks about attendance points for people who can't make it in. Even though some areas have declared states of emergency. No word on anyone had been hit with two points. (Absence other than illness)
