If an employee does not like the potential 23% pay cut then you should complain to your union.

For example, the Dispatchers negotiated a 10.3% pay cut and they are one of the highest paid employee groups. Everybody else but the two other TWU units could receive a 23% pay cut.

Let's see, with a deal the Dispatcher's received an immediate 10.3% pay cut and the majority of the unions are staring at a 23% pay cut.

If pay should be based on how much crap you get then USAirways employees should be the highest paid in the industry. :D

The Dispatchers will have this pay cut for 5 years, and it will take them proabably another 5 years to negotiate another one.

USA320....

You keep taking the pain and love every minute of it...........why is that?

That's right.......no other option. so sad.

I am pretty confiddent that on Oct. 7, the judge will NOT approve the company's motion of 23%. He will consider the arguements of the labor lawyers and they will express that the judge will in fact, create a ground swell of personal BK if the employeees stay and keep these jobs with a 23% pay cut imposed..

ALPA's Harvard Law School attorney's told the MEC in "open session" they are 100% certain the judge will approve the company's S.1113(e) motion.

Hey PitBull,

How much of a ground swell of personal bankruptcies will occur if we are liquidated...?

Just curious, cause that is what the company is gonna point out, and what Judge Mitchell will have to consider first and foremost.

A imposed 23% paycut sucks, but a 100% paycut "imposed" by liquidation is worse in any judge's eyes.

The odds are higher for the Red Sox winning the World Series than ALPA's Haaarvaardd Attorney being correct. And, we all know about the Red Sox in October.

Rico,

What do you know about a Judge's "eyes"....Are you a judge besides an MAA pilot?

I don't agree with your thinking. Truly, I don't agree with anyone who I view is so disperate to keep a job and expects ANOTHER group to subsidize it.

USA320,

Funny, our AFA legal express that they will be able to argue it and are prepared. How can attoneys be 100% certain on any ruling? Unless, your ALPA attorneys have no prepared argument.

I guess your Harvard Lawyer needs to go out into the "real world" and exercise and practice some law before taking on a cushy union International legal job at ALPA. Briefs are tuff, and they should be preparing for an argment instead of hammering the ALPA MEC to capitulate.

Again, I have no professional respect for those types of people who give advice and appear to have "no plan of action" for the ALPA membership.

Arguing cases of this magnitude takes practice...sounds like your ALPA legal eagles are not prepared.

That's sad.
