More International Destinations Gone in 2010

There are just following the revenue. Pulling less profitable routes and moving the AC to more profitable ones. Very sensable in the environment.

No new international routes for 2010. I've heard of no reductions either.

Heard anything about BHX yet? According to the agents, the load factors are good but air fares are low with little revenue from Envoy and cargo. Sounds perfect for the 757, but who knows?

Doesn't GRU start in 2010? And doesn't Phoenix get somthing in Jamaica? Charlotte got Honolulu also. I know Honolulu ain't international :p But it ties up a 767 and is a pretty long route.

The 757 is all they used for BHX, yet they are not sure they wish to continue the route. I guess that means it isn't so perfect for a 757 or that great USAirways staff in BHX wouldn't be fretting about their jobs for next summer.

FWIW, I had a FAM onboard my flight this weekend and he told me that the company informed them that once CLT runway #3 is completed that some international flying out of Philly will be transferred to CLT. He also said Jerry Orr has designs on a 4th runway being added in CLT, and that if/when the happens international flying out of CLT will really blow up. We'll see.

The biggest thing holding CLT international back right now is gate space on the D concourse. Too many flights needing customs clearance all arriving at the same time.
