I believe the rule is 50 NM from land. Thus, the widest body of water a non-overwater equipped aircraft can cross is just under 100NM, because at 50 NM from the one shoreline, you would be 50 NM from the other... (theoretically, anyway)sfb said:I thought the rule was 50, but I might be wrong.
