Merger set.....But new Livery?

My guess is no because of the cost and how far a long the rebranding is now. DP is aware that employees are the main people concerned with the Livery so I think he will throw some hertitage and special themed Aircraft out there to satisfy us geeks.

Unfortunately, I agree. Tommy boy cemented his "legacy" and gave us his hideous livery AND logo. Then chose to spend tons of money painting most of the 777 and 767 aircraft first and very fast. This will make the decision to change it that more costly. Maybe he will donate his $20 million to fix his mistake? Also, heard from an agent in DFW, that the new work stations might be changing as well. They don't like the "openness" of the new design and that they will be more separated in the future. Take it for what it is. That is pure conjecture at best.

I would venture a guess and say that paint schemes and work stations are not even the tip of the iceberg as to the many changes that await us.
Good, bad, or indifferent....Changes are a comin!

I thought his parachute payout was nixed by the BK judge several months back...

Doesn't mean he won't get it December 10, 2013. Most likely May 1, 2014 when he is gone for sure.

The planes are still being painted, it's a done deal I'm sure.
I agree.....I think DP had a say in the new livery from the get go....After all it will be the New American...As for heritage, i don't recall seeing any Cactus traces on the current US scheme.

Probably true!----- But that doesn't change the fact that it is "UGLY"!!!!
I would not say ugly...I believe there were better schemes that could have been selected.....

I was referring to the current US scheme..there is not even a hint of HP.....

Actually there is: the "swoosh" is a nod to the zig-zag motif from the final HP livery.

hmmmmmm......yea maybe so.

Lose the ugly tail strips and bring back the AA. Oh well, maybe we need to get used to it and not waste anymore money on non-essentials. I am going to miss the polished silver finish though, really one of a kind.
