Again, you are incorrect.
Perry was NOT recalled out of office when he was the MECP back in the 90's, (although it would have been justified), he just was not re-elected. IN ADDITION, and years later, Perry was NOT taken out of office during his most recent term as the MECP, AGAIN, he simply was not re-elected.
BTW, he only received one vote out of a possible six. This speaks volumes and should tell all of us that the 6 members of the MEC, who had a front row seat in observing his effectiveness or lack thereof, obviously found him lacking and could no longer support him.
The real 411: On those few occasions when Perry did show up at the MEC office or at a meeting with management or at negotiations, he found excuse after excuse to leave early and run home to CLT. Perry was nowhere to be seen when the last concessionary TA was finalized, I understand he was more worried about getting his Christmas decorations up and shopping with his neighbor.
What a gig he had and has. He takes max pay and max expenses but stays home the majority of the time. When Perry was the MECP, he was great at writing scathing letters to management, but his "Follow-up" was non-existant. As MECP, the guy was "all puff, no stuff." It was HE who lost the election as he had lost any respect or support from the sitting MEC at that time.
After losing his re-election of the MECP seat to Teddy, the MEC, feeling sorry for him, voted to allow him to remain the chairperson of the negotiating committee.
Since that time he has written one disgraceful, hateful email after another to fellow flight attendants. His abusive language and discriminating expletives targeted against women are beyond sick, they are twisted! This guy should be brought up on ethics charges through BOTH AFA and the Company! I have managed to get my hands on several of these emails and they are appalling! I was told there are many more that are even worse!
Your real question should be why are Mike (CLT) and Laura (PHL) not doing something about that? Guess their 'chest beating' morals apply to only made up s—t about someone who really does work and who really is effective for the members. Laura and Terry need to supply their Company source or shut up and focus on real problems like Mr. Hayes.
Teddy needs to take any opportunity (even distateful ones) to put as much distance between the likes of Laura (PHL Pres), Mike (CLT Pres and MEC Pres.) and Terry (PHL VP) as she can! Just hearing these names makes me want to take a shower, what a mess.
Laura, Mike and Alin are ALL very aware of Perry’s little peccadilloes. They know of his abuse of union dues dollars to support his porn habit as well as his discrimination against both women and Junior FA’s (which makes up more than 85% of the membership). Talk about “selective morals!!!â€
I am sure you recall that during Perry's FIRST MECP term back in the 90's that he was (justifiably) brought up on charges for using AFA property and dues dollars to access gay porn sites on the web. He was NOT recalled at the time as he gave some lame excuse and rather than drag everyone through the mess, he was given a 'slap on the wrist.'
Low & Behold, seems he has been caught again! It is my understanding that when Perry recently returned the AFA lap top he used while in office that is was riddled with more of the same.
But that is NOT the whole story…if what I am hearing is to be believed, it gets MUCH, MUCH, MUCH worse and I understand that if he is allowed to remain on the AFA payroll beyond the finalization of the implementation process or in the future is ever elected to another position that is supplimented by flight attendant dues dollars that the s--t is going to hit the fan and several insiders will go public with the whole dirty little story along with filing charges regardless of the embarassment it will cause AFA.
The "NEW" AFA MEC is making the ALPA lMEC look good, which is hard to do.
