Mec President Resigns Early

I can't wait until you guys see HP's policy on this. Take it to the bank they keep the "first come first served."

Actually tooth, you would not be permitted in the union office if you hadn't withdrawn the letter ON YOUR FLIGHT.

BTW, info came from the EX PRes. who gave the ultimatim. Can't get any factual than that.

It would help you to refresh your memory by asking the f/a who was written up. ;)

Had you read the post to which you refer, you would have read that I did not submit "my" letter, so, your first sentence is not relevent to anything that I can tell.

Your second sentence presupposes knowledge I do not have, much less care about. Wasn't the "EX PRes." known for issuing "ultimatims" (sic) in BWI all the time, to no consequence. Why would one more mean any more than the previous?

Your third is just silly. If, as you have implied, the letter was withdrawn due to an ultimatim (sic), how is it "the" f/a was "written up"? If nothing happened, then nothing happened, right? No harm, no foul?

The "a" was just lucky I did not submit my writeup.

Ah, eye.

The problem was, those employees were upgraded out of seniority.  You know, seniority, something that you use when you are "non-reving", something you use when bidding or  in order to determine who plays what position on a trip.

As far as parking tickets, can't help you there.  Don't know anything about that.  I'll find out, however, and I bet whoever it is will be happy to pay the tickets, should you pay your matching funds in Pat Robertson's 700 Club.

Isn't this a case of elephants (edited out by Eye because Eye was being really mean...sorry :( ) stepping on the ants (some non-revs)? Hey my old lady used to upgrade employees all the time when she worked senior. Nobody ever wrote her up. As Clue said 'out of senority' will be a thing of the past very soon. So, if you wanna fly you're gonna have to check in early...no running to the LAX flights last minute and bumping some poor jumpseating stew who happened to check-in way before you. Lastly, I wonder about your lack of couth by bringing in "Pat Robertson's 700 Club" when referring to the Pegasus Project...totally tacky.

Upgrading has NOTHING to do with seniority as it is AGAINST company policy to do so unless paid for. Do I upgrade people I know? You betcha! Do other flight attendants upgrade people they know? Yoiu betcha! Do gate agents upgrade people they know? You betcha! Point is....we do it as a courtesy to people we know and/or llike. Get over it.

No clue, I am not yelling at you, but the whole stupid write up thing.

Wow! No wonder AFA is in such a pathetic predicament. They only have Teddy fighting for them. What a circus.

As I wonder about your "couth" in suggesting an organization like the Pegasus Project....also tacky.

Why not an organization that actually does some good? There are plenty of groups, charity or otherwise, that are quite efficient and actually advance the human condition without favoring one special interest over another.

Now let me get this right. The MEC gets approached by a VP with an offer not available to other members of her union and she doesn't let anyone know about this. Whether she was considering this offer or not, she should have notified her union members that I VP was offering only her this deal. Was this just a lack of good judgement on her part or what? I also think she should have given up the PIT LEC to someone else and just been the MEC Pres. At meetings, who would she be representing, her base F/A's or all of her F/A's in the company. I think she was a good MEC Pres., but somethings should have been done earlier. Too bad.
