Just to set the record straight for any of our passengers that may read the posts on this forum..."A" class fares are NOT technically FC fares they are ACTUALLY coach fares upgradeable to first IF available.
If you select "First with Restrictions" on the web site, you get "A" fares. If you book them, you get the first class class of service bonus. As mweiss points out, the fare itself says "First class" in the posted rules. The old YUP fares were labeled as coach with automatic upgrades to first, but the A fares are sold as first class fares.
