AMR Corp - crossed below its 52-week low of $5.40 on 12:20 PM ET on July 05, 2011.

At what point does the BOD step in and say WTF..................

Board has both stock and options.

If the stock starts setting new lows for more than a couple days, then I'd consider putting on a lifevest. But looking at where most stocks went today, can't say I'd get too excited just yet.

Volumes on AMR were lighter than normal, it's the day after a long weekend, and lots of bankers probably take the week as vacation before earnings start coming out in earnest next week...

Maybe you know the BOD better then most. At what point do you suppose that heads start to roll with the consistent losses and the stock languishing at 52 week lows and maybe headed lower?

umm, here`s a flash for you folks. This airline has been sinking for a L-O-N-G time. It`s a death of a thousand cuts.

But we can look at ordering 15 billion in new aircraft.
<_< ------- $15 Billion, but they can't afford to pay the help!!? My! My! MY!------ Keep them flying guys! I'll be flying back South here shortly! Got to button my place up in the Carb.for hurricane season!

could ch11 be coming near for you? if so I feel for you after what we went thru. i hope for the best regardless for you all.

Bankruptcy might be the best option.
Freeze all the pensions. Give everyone another
20% pay cut. Raise our health insurance premiums.
Then maybe we could all be as happy as the
Delta employees seem to be.

LOL LOL LOL

It's fascinating, isn't it?

Our airline consistently places at the bottom of almost every category for YEARS, yet the same mis-management teAAm is still there. Our airline loses incredible sums of money while other peer airlines lose far less or MAKE money, yet the same mis-management teAAm is still there. Millions in FAA fines, whole fleets grounded, planes with faulty repairs hidden in the desert, yet the same mis-management teAAm is still there.

Maybe we can hire a few more has-been football players and insider-trading jailbirds for the board. That should finally deliver us to the Ch. 11 promised land.

You're much more tolerant than I am - I'm done flying - driving or other modes only until the chicken littles (no pun intended) ruin that also.

Napolitano's Perverts can look at me all they wish with their x-ray glasses or machine but only the wife and my Dr. get to grab me in the crotch. I will take out any SOB that does that, federal employee or whatever.

I haven't a desire to spend time in a federal prison, therefore, I don't fly nor will I again.

Another 52 week low today, WOW, we'll be penny stock soon.

Guess you haven't been paying much attention to the economy lately.... This isn't just AMR.

Lots of 52 week lows in sight for lots of companies when the economy goes thru a double (maybe even triple) dip (taking 401K's and equity wealth with it) and the powers at be continue to fail completely to address the depressed and still not bottomed out housing market (where the other half of most people's equity is invested)....
