If USAir was such a good airline then explain why I saw quite a few ex-USAir pilots in new hire training at America West before the lifeline was thrown your way by Doug.

Dougie and A&W received the lifeline from Lakefield (that would have been the USAir CEO, to you). Remember the federal loan the A&W corp. couldn't figure how to pay off before they went into default, having already been in default at least once? Once Lakefield got the money to your pal, the loan got paid off.
