LUS 401k Match

So which work group are we talking about referencing this topic?
Talked to Fidelity and yes the FA did get a match eff 2/2/2015............  not fleet

Well, I will add I think it is bad practices for a company to negotiate seperate basic benefits within collective bagrining. Sick, Vacation, 401k, and Medical should be exactly the same for all employees.

I agree, but welcome to American Airlines. Doing what they do best, divide the work groups with the help of the unions.

well hold on it's not all AA - some unions what different things - if you were in a non-union shop everything would be the same - I'm not saying a non-union shop is better - I'm just saying in non-union companies things are basically consistent

Well within the twu we are divided. Some groups have 5 weeks VC, some have 6 weeks VC. Some have 1\2 pay for sick time and others get full pay for sick time. Some have 5 paid holidays a year and others have 9 days and 10 days paid holidays a year. Care to guess which group has 5 paid holidays, 1/2 pay sick time and 5 weeks vacation? Divide and conquer from within makes the companies job easier in getting what they want.

Sounds like Fleet had a better negotiating committee.

So how come Bob couldn't save you all?

Well how did Fleet and Stores end up with a better CBA?

You had Owens and Peterson as your saviors and they failed, I would love to see how much money they are spending on frivolous lawsuits without the memberships approval.

I would say once the association is done either way, 591 will be put in a trusteeship.

Bob was already removed from office once, and he is a closet AMFA supporter, ask Thomas Paine about it.

It's called taking care of the majority. We AMT'S are not the majority. The reason we kept pounding to you and others why we need our own union. BTW, Bob was not around when the b scale started in 85. The beginning of the end for the AMT's. Time to let the industrial unions go.

The twu international uses local 514 and roll call votes to use as a trojan horse to ambush them!

Yep it is now 5.5% for all employees. So tell all your buds they need to be saving at least that amount in thier 401ks.
The FA's get 9% and the pilots get around 14% with no match. The twu gets 5.5% only if we contribute 5.5%.

Which group is it that has 9 sick days and 10 holidays? I've got 5 and 5, also got 4 weeks VC, that glorious 5th week is 25 years and over for us.

Your NC was all mechanic and related correct?

And no Fleet or Stores voted on your CBA, not did they?

Please view the following FAQ regarding the IAM National Pension Fund (IAMNPF).

During the airline industry restructuring of the 2000s, most airlines either terminated of froze employee defined-benefit pension plans and replaced them with defined contribution (401k) plans. The move was aimed to slash future financial obligations to current employees and shift the risk and funding of retirement plans from the airlines to their employees.

IAM-represented airline employees, however, fared much better than did other airline employees because of the IAM National Pension Fund (IAMNPF). IAM negotiators were able to replace terminated or frozen pension plans with the IAM National Pension Plan (IAMNPP), most notably at United Airlines and US Airways.
