I felt that way too at 0530 this morning, but after hearing the news, I feel differently. I feel badly for our crews working back from London, and Manchester, if and when they come back.Well they have to Get Real at the TSA!

How about expensive make-up, perfumes, and liquid medications that do not have a prescription label on them?absolutely rediculous, crew memebers should be exempt from these knee jerk bannings
so now crewmembers have to buy new toiletries on every single overnight? (Assuming there is someplace open they can buy them at each RON)??
That's funny. It was my crew.Wife just called me from PHL. Her crew flew in from SYR and they had all their stuff taken. One of the girls she was flying with had about $300 worth of make-up with her. They were going to take that, so she checked her bag all the way to CLT, even though they wouldn't finish their trip intil this evening. The captain recommended putting in an expense form. I've got a 3 day today, should prove fun.

As of what time? Because this was not the case just an hour ago.According to PHL Inflight that this am TSA was taking EVERYTHING from Crew Members, but now TSA is making Crew Members exempt from this. The only thing they are taking is Water or Soda that is in your bag!

Well what happened could have been AWFUL...but TSA has to be realistic in its response! There was a picture of one of our crews in GLA on CNN.COM...having their bags searched.I felt that way too at 0530 this morning, but after hearing the news, I feel differently. According to our latest CBS message at 08:38:I though we Crew Members had already been vetted by the TSA? I thought this was the reason for the background checks?

Background checks are meaningless. Crew members are just as likely to be terrorist mules as multi-million mile middle-aged business travelers, and they aren't allowed any liquids either.
collaborators.I don't understand why one can't take a coffe or soda purchased inside the secured area on the plane. It makes no sense. Supposedly, all food items inside the secured area of the terminal have already been screened. What gives?
According to our latest CBS message at 08:38:
"All stations have been advised that restrictions do not apply to uniformed crewmembers".
Not if the Crew Member has had an extesive background check and security clearance performed; as we have had.
