LOA 91 does NOT have a 279 minimum aircraft clause. If this passes, mainline pilot's can kiss your jobs goodbye !!!

Good point. Perhaps they believe there will not be a large enough reduction in aircraft to jeprodize their careers. Only the young shall perish. Savy

Ahh,
But the IAM mechanic and related, fleet service and the CWA csa contract does!

OH!, What am I thinking?

This company does not care what is in their employees collective bargaining agreements!

Without it, I don't think it will pass. I can't support it

If the pilots give relief on the scope and min. mainline a/c, you can kiss this airline good bye. Everything and everyone left will transform into Mid-Atlantic. This is where management will be able to achieve the $1.5 Billion cost savings/restructuring.

Our f/as are not surviving at all and are extremely depressed in Mid-Atlantic. They are sharing 1 bedroom suties and 7 f/as to a room. If they quit, not even unemployment will be available to them. They didn't know what to expect when they signed on...and never expected what they got.

USAirways needs to put an ad out in the papers that reads: Mid-Atlantic Airways hiring "high school drop outs preferred" with low expectations.

The number is 279, like I said last week, I told the board the 279 was gone, no fleet size gaurantee, and a320pilot said I was wrong.

Told you so!

So if this passes, dave will parked 179 planes and farm out major flying to mesa, watch, wait and see.

I hope the pilots have some gonads and votes this down, if they don't they will be committing economic suicide and taking every one else with them.

I wonder if a certain pilot will have a job when US goes to 100 narrowbodies, 30 widebodies and 400 RJS flown by anyone and every one except US Airways! (This was in Aviation Daily last year)!

PHX, you are so right, there goes UAL's feeder problem!

The remaining question is all the other labor groups have the 279 gaurantee, loks like more contract violations on the horizon!

Pitbull, you forgot to add, that they must live at home with their parents, so they can survive on the pennance the company will pay them.

flew Chatauqua (sp) the other day and the flight attendent ,who was a check attendent, said they are sending all there stan eval pilots and flight attendents to 170 school in preparation for a large influx of 170's for fights under the us airways, and united banners. She also said they were ramping up their flight attendant classes to 65 per month. They have not been told what is happening but something is obviously being planned. Sorry no independent confirmation but that is what she told me. It sounds to me like they are banking on ALPA caving again.

Chautauqua IS sending pilots and FA's for 170 training, but it has nothing to do with U at this point. We are delivering 13 170's for United Express in the second half. 12 more are tentatively scheduled for first half 2005, contingent on operational reliability and performance targets. We will begin training in May. The 170's will be operated by Republic Airlines, which is a mirror-image duplicate certificate of Chautauqua employing the same crews under the same contract as a means to side-step restrictions in our DL codeshare..

The PHL Secretary/Treasurer is floating around an unoffical LOA 91 talking paper that is inaccurate and misrepresents the TA.

The 279 minimum fleet count remains intact and part of the pilots CBA. ALPA Legal is investigating the use of this unofficial document and misrepresentation.

In regard to this week's ALPA activity, it would not surprise me if the company takes dramatic actions to get the unions attention, such as significant across-the-board furloughs in all work groups and asset sales.

We could live another Eastern Airlines on this property.
