Loa 91 - Make Or Break It?

Michael707767,

You know he will not answer you, ...
It is an unfortunate necessity that one who spreads misinformation, half-truths, fear, and manipulative shams is by nature not willing to engage in substantive discussions. He is only here to preach and attempt to win converts. The Pied Piper does not answer.

He will never answer your questions (except when he can do so in a way that attacks your credibility in that you are not as respectful of him as he pretends to be to you).

He will not engage in any discussions of reality because it interferes with his false “realityâ€￾ that he is attempting to foist.

Those annoying tele-marketers that call in the middle of your dinner will not discuss with you what they are up to. They just want to complete the sale and if it is apparent to them that you will not buy they will go on to the next number on the list, and perhaps call you again later with the same sales pitch. But they will never waste their time on discussions of truth.

Respectfully,

Chip

A320Driver,

This your new negotiator?
LOL!

It is unjust that people attempt to start the conversation with the premise that those who choose to say "No." to the company (for the first time in 25 years) are somehow less professional, efficient, or caring about the company being able to go forward.

It is simply untrue. But it is true there is a sucker born every minute.

I wasn't sure if his real name is indeed, Chip, or he was being sarcastic. But I definately new it wasn't the man in favor of voting for LOA91.

GECAS has indicated they will pull the RJ financing if LOA 91 fails. Moreover, ALPA's advisors says GECAS does not bluff.

Call me stupid…

Persistent tele-marketers or not.

I fail to see why the Mainline pilots should agree to the wholesale furlough of thousands of Mainline employees in order to save the possibility of receiving a loan that will buy all the MLRJs that the resultant furloughed employees may possibly get to work on at first year pay after being employed for 20 years.

Is that sorta like buying bullets to give to your assassin so he can load his gun?

I want to be on that jury.

Phoenix:

GECAS and ALPA's advisors indicate the financier wants to reduce their US Airways risk and exposure, but keep the RJ revenue within US Airways Group. Either LOA 91 passes or the company will likely enter bankruptcy or see an orderly liquidation.

It's really quite simple.

Couldn't agree with you more.

USA320pilot, I ask again, though I know you are too chicken to answer. What are you going to do when they ask the pilot group to outsource your job? What will you do when GECAS threatens to pull the plug unless the 320s are outsourced?

It is really quite simple. Those who's jobs are at risk would not vote to outsource them. There are also those of us who would not vote to screw our fellow employees to save our own neck. Either we all sink or swim together, or being a former military officer did you forget that lesson?

Well, if the LOA19 is voted on, which as far as I can understand from reading all about it, that would mean lots of further layoffs and shrinking Mainline down to a minimal existance. From what I am understanding, that would mean if you don't at least have 20 years or more, you are screwed.

I think I am going to go into the cane making business. I might be able to get some of us furloughed out of work folks to stand outside of security at the bases and sell canes to the "blue rinse brigade" coming to work.

No offense to our elderly work force, just trying to make a point. BWTW, I am close to being elderly(well, not that elderly) just junior in seniority these days.

The more I am reading about this LOA19 thing, it is just more thing to worry and get sick over. Or maybe I am not understanding the whole picture.
