Well, from a business standpoint, why would there need to be both AA and US maintenance at the same station?  Mergers always result in duplication of jobs.  If the merger is to be financially successful, one of the first things that needs to be eliminated is duplication of jobs.  If you have 4 maintenance guys in a station (2 from each side), unless there is a significant increase in service to that station, at least one of those positions probably needs to be eliminated.  If you have 2 maintenance supervisors, you can bet that at least one of those is not needed.

I didn't realize that AA cross utilizes f/as as maintenance workers. Are you sure that if you have 2 maintenance supvsrs., one will not be needed? Must be nice to be so sure that someone else needs to go.

Lets not be so quick to eliminate a fellow employees job...just saying. Sure mergers result in duplication but let's be a bit more methodical than just cutting for the sake of cutting.
