THIS is the reason why AA is not using 767s.and justifiably BOS-LAX is a market that AA is willing to fight for even though it has every Tom, Dick, and Harry flying it.and to be honest with you, I am actually surprised to find out that AA doesn't have WiFi on its 767s....but since we are on the subject, can someone tell me if AA still has domestic configured 767s or are they all int'l configured?thanks
The 763s do not have Gogo as they primarily fly to Europe, South America and Hawaii. My understanding is the cabin improvement project underway does NOT include international wifi (unlike for the 772).

The domestic 767s were the 762s which were retired in May. All 763s are in international configuration with either 30J (angle flat old configuration) or 28J (new lie flat configuration).

Yep, and I have to think that the 772 fleet would be next up for sat-wifi before it would be installed on the 763's.

But hey, discussing international wifi sure is a convenient service deficiency for Rachel to latch onto in the middle of a thread on BOS-LAX.

Mark you don't see AA operating even one frequency with the 321T? I think 222/143 work work well, those are the flights that have had the 763 before.

No. Not to mention the only trans-con market outside of JFK-LAX/SFO that even remotely has demand for a true F product is MIA-LAX due to celebrity traffic, which is really the only thing that drives it (still not sure how SFO-JFK works with 3-classes).

In a world where AA reconfigured the A321s to have 28J and a bigger Y, I absolute think AA would operate them on MIA-LAX, BOS-LAX, even LAX-IAD/DCA.

Just thinking out loud - NYC has lots of money (including some celeb money) that might like the privacy offered in F. On top of that, there may be demand for paid F for partner traffic; say someone flies from HKG to SFO or NYC on CX in paid F and wants to visit both NYC and SFO on the same trip. I realize that CX serves both cities nonstop but for the traveler who wants to visit both on the same trip, AA might be able to sell some of that F to passengers who would look down on the 2-2 J seats. Same with JAL and QF and BA and other OW partners.

I'd think that 16-20 lie-flat J seats at least on the overnight redeyes from the west coast might work.
