Wherever.
I heard from my supervisor yesterday that we use shared kiosks at Charlotte and Philly? It isn't our kiosks that are having the issue in other words.. just the shared ones?

Anyone else here heard anything about this?

Wrong,

US Kiosks in CLT, PHL and the other east coast cities are US Airways' only and not shared by other airlines. 318 of them to be exact.

Your information is 100% wrong.

Yes and no. While the East kiosks aren't shared-use with other airline, most/all of them are the CUSS type. CUSS stands for Common Use Self Service.

It is apparently the CUSS kiosks that had problems, including those in LAS.

The company needs to use kiosks made by SWEAR, which stands for Standard Wireless Electronic Avatar Ready kiosk. A face comes up on the screen and tells you that the kiosk is out of order, which will prompt you to look for a kiosk with a CUSS interface.
