JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

I believe """IF""" Tim is getting behind the scenes information, that information may be coming from Ford and Harrison? Not all items he's divulging may have been accepted (If not made up period)

But """"IF"""" Tim is right Robbed on his financials what we will be gaining is another 6% in wages from where we are right now. If you have so little confidence (Understandably) in the IAMNPF you can take that extra 6% and consider socking that into your 401k if possible for you?

UAL does get around $2.00 into the IAMPF AND a 3% Match. But I would be more than happy to have that 3% or more placed into direct wages where "I" can decide how to invest rather than it being decided for me.
I believe WeAA that as a whole we the employees should get say 3 bucks into the IAMPF and a 401K match I don't know if what Tim is saying is true or not I want to wait and see what happens But There have been times he been right and times he been wrong I knew UAL had both but I did not know how much they put in the IAMPF But again I still have to ask if there's "so much" going into the IAMPF why the cuts come?

Any city that has a Unionized AA Agent working upstairs, should also have a Unionized AA Ramp Agent working downstairs as well.

If there winds up being a trade off in other areas for just maintaining the status quo instead I'd like to hear that explanation of what that is and why?
Probably If they had to staff a whole crew the station would lose money. Weez would you be willing to go back to $25 per hour if we could get our work back cleaning, freight catering etc.

Wait a minute Robbed. Although yes he was right about the funding level the only place that I've heard of more cuts to the IAM"N"PF looming on the horizon have been through Nelson or one of his alias's. I'll believe the bombs are really about to fall when I hear the whistling coming out of the sky, then "Heads up"

And they can put $5.00 or even $10.00 per hour into that fund if you want? But it's going to come from somewhere and we can all easily guess where.

(See my response to Al)

No.

(But who's lost freight and catering)

LUS in most cities, years ago. I'm surprised you said no, it would mean thousands of jobs for your union brothers

You asked me a direct question so you got a direct answer. I like the direct approach better than what most people do, (annoyingly) skirting and dancing around the issue.

You said what most people feel ,you weren't looking for a pat on the back. Good for you. Guess I'll see you in hell

Like I said Al, I'm all about balance. I also would never want to strangle and pulverize the Goose either. Sometimes she lays Golden eggs and sometimes they're rotten, but she is our little Goose. (AA)

BTW Al the fact that we perform Freight and you perform Catering to me means "we" still have those jobs.

I wouldn't mind seeing them expanded to other cities personally.

I DO NOT do OT or CS work you're right.
But you do CS off?

Correct?
But I am a voting member and am not too interested in OT "GREED" maybe squashing a decent TA for ALL the collective Members of the Association.
How is trying to earn more for ones family GREED?
You advocate and support what's best for you, and I'll do the same.
Oh please..... give it a rest.

Everyone votes in their best interest.

However you have the nerve to call someone greedy then turn around and try to sell yourself as a man of the people with this crap.

As usual you are talking out of both ends of your mouth.

Sorry NYer, I'm with W on this one. For a baggage handler, we make damn good money.
Not only is it decent money, it's gonna get even better. While I can understand some folks issues with
the CS Policy, the OT agreement is way down the list of items I'm concerned about. It's nice to have if some situations arise that you need a fair amount of money in a short period of time, but I know folks (and I don't know if they need or just want it, not my business) who work OT every day, even their day off. They won't even entertain the thought of working a CS until the OT has dried up. And these are folks who worked OT during the union led ban on OT. If those are the folks you are defending or speaking of, well, I feel for them, but I won't defend them. I will also say again imo, the majority would rather do their 40 and go home. And just like the healthcare situation, I don't think OT rules will be a major concern for the "Majority".
Let's get something very VERY clear. American Airlines has a sub par and outdated vacation policy. CS's allow people to take off for appointments, social events, and emergencies without impacting their attendance record. I think you have forgotten just how very special the CS policy really is. It allows you some control in an occupation that decimates your personal life. Let's also not forgot that people who commute use it to have some sort of home life with their family.

I can tell you the TWA guys at TULE would snatch up every CS they could only to give up hours later to try to go home for a week or so to be with family.

The best part is the CS policy is completely voluntary. You don't have to use it if you don't want to but it is there if you desire or need it. Please don't dismiss this VERY important benefit. I don't have to tell ANYONE on this forum how much working for an airline impacts ones social life. Especially those of low seniority.

I love the Weez, he brings out the best in people. Can't wait for some Walmart retorts

Weez you and I are single it's easy for you(us) to say that. If it's in the IAM constitution they could go scratch. Try feeding a family of four on $20.56 hour. Overtime has always been there even in bankruptcy sure it dries up now and then but it is needed for the most part. Like it or not it usually factors in the great American dream
No WeAAsles is right. You should let the UNION dictate to you your maximum earnings.
