All I hear from the union and NC is negativity . How about this what we are going to do to get a contract 1. sit down with the company and negotiate a deal . 2. come to an agreement the suits both parties. 3. then let us vote on it . I know it sounds to simple but this infighting with the iam and the twu has to stop. Be big boys and GET IT DONE!!!!!!

What do you expect to gain? Do you suspect you will lose anything?
To be sure, i expect much gain otherwise it really doesnt make much sense to re-negotiate a contract that isnt ammendable with a company making billions.

I agree with you on expecting much gains. However, I will ask again, if the company leans towards using the AA medical instead of US's medical wouldn't that be a loss to the LUS members? I would think, just like most here, that the NC would be pushing hard for the US medical language as it is far better and less expensive than the AA medical. I also believe by going with the US medical it would be industry leading, would it not? Going with the AA medical would be a drastic difference and definitely NOT industry leading. I do not understand how in the world this asso. could even think that going with the current AA medical is industry leading when the US guys will get worse and more expensive.

Now a simple question for all those focusing on an item here and an item there. Keeping with the Medical conversation. Who would say no to going with the more expensive medical cost if the company paid an extra $10.00 per hour in wages for it? Do we concern ourselves that a "piece" of our contract is not (GASP) industry leading?

Simple question. (And no we haven't been offered $10.00 extra per hour)

In your thoughts about fairness do you factor in the gains and improvements in your standalone contract that you received in 2014 and the wage increases we all received this past October?

iampf iampf....i just wonder about the sanity on our side, that for moderately cheaper medical and keeping catering which I doubt survives in its current form even if the company was raking in billions more and what its holding up...a raise, more vacation, more sick time, better matching and contribution for 401k, better holiday pay along with more of them. also station reopenings. Yeah i'm the insulting one. the iam is nuts. the twu is nuts. this whole association is nuts. Nelson and weassle goes without saying.

They ( nc) say this is what is going on behind closed doors and all of a sudden there are rumors floating around. rumors people ...If the NC would come out with some positive to stay instead of negativity , would that be novel. yes its negotiations and it changes in a heart beat until they have the final sign off and bring it to us for a vote. until then rumors!!!

To ALL ! The rumors will continue with those Ass. JCBN's who are leaking more then Trump's WH . My bet it's part politico, part deflection, and part frustration with the process under RLA/NMB rules . Fish On !
