he's in the dark?? lmao this coming from a guy who wanted to know the tough issues remaining but yet he knows exactly what will happen.lol Bob you're entertaining but you're as full of chit as a xmas goose

Tell me that doesn't look like Bob? Try to tell me that's not him?

There's going to be major hits to scope and work. that's why we are better off just doing nothing. Look, the pension side of the assets may be 15 percent overvalued conservatively on mark to market. 30 percent maybe if not more is also in play. What a mess this Association is. That pension is the sword of Damocles, over this Associations head.

Doing nothing, is the best leverage TWU has for ramp. Let m/r sort out thier issues and get a contract.

I couldn't care less about this section 6 bull chit, that must be a IAM thing.
Really Bob ??? an IAM thing? are you kidding? at some point or another just about every union has had section 6 talks It just happens that IAM was the last one (that I recall) had it during the merger talk and pony show DP gave to AA folks to entice them for support while we were in an amendable contract with very little progress made and gave 0 support to DP and AA merger til we got our contract

I'm had to read the last part 3 times in order to fully gage on just how much your are in the dark. You will not vote on health insurance, this is a given, no two ways about it. Your scope will be raised to 35 flight daily to maintain IAM staffing at a station. One contract, one set of rules, for the LAA side, all the perks and goodies that were taken away in 2003 will be given back and then some, the cheap healthcare and smaller stations at the LUS will disappear, and then the company will reduce the total fleet headcount to match all the other airlines.

bob,

I sense a lot of hostility coming from this post. Why is that? Is it because you were proven wrong on some things and are now bitter about it? Either way, we most certainly will vote on health insurance, it will be part of our CBA, why do you think we will not vote on it? I wish I had your crystal ball on the scope issue, going from 1 flight a day for scope to 35 a day for scope, I can only have faith in the NC that, that doesn't happen. If it does, I may just come to DFW and bump you down a spot in seniority, unless you have more than my 28 years. You see, the truth is, neither you, I, WeAasles, NYer, or anybody else that isn't in negotiations know what the final JCBA will look like. I just wonder where your "DOOM and GLOOM" mentality came from. Oh and by the way, Section 6 negotiations happen at all unions, it's not just an IAM thing. Saying that kind of uneducated rhetoric just makes you look even more ignorant of the process all around.

Quite right, Talos, there was little work done to get prepared for these negotiations until after the Association was certified by the NMB in May 2015.

There was at least 6 months wasted before the the certification, then it took about 6 months start the negotiations process.
I agree 100%. Even though they (asso and both unions) knew they going thru without a vote thru the NMB, they sat there and wasted actually more than 6 months of time. I do remember some members calling for them to start getting nego's started but they put that off too even after they were certified by the NMB without a vote.

Last we heard, the Neutral Javits, was still going over all the protests he received. We were also advised we needed to have patience because the folks, on the TWU side, dealing with this were also busy with the JCBA negotiations.
Sorry man, but that's no excuse from the TWU side. Do to all the protest from who? Obviously not the members as they still do not know. And just the fact that they do have protest, and I am assuming it's protest from the side that his decision did not go well for, is just the proof you all should see just how all the future nego's will go with this stupid asso idea going forward. These two sides will NEVER agree on anything that has to be a final decision of changing one sides current language to the other sides. This bumping heads will go on forever, decisions, delays, protest, more delays, another protest to see if they can get it changed one more time. This is just pathetically sad to watch. Just glad I do not have to live it, what a freakin roller coaster. And remember, that's the first issue decided (actually NOT decided) between the differences in the 2 sides contracts being complete opposite of the others. Plenty more to go which will cause even more and more delays. 1AA is correct this thing will not materialize until well into 2018 if at all. Good luck NY'er, you guys are going to need it...

Once again"Animal House" Leave Bob alone he's on a roll. Perhaps Bob can predict the next locust swarm also

Mr Southwest Airlines Mechanic in an American Airlines Fleet Service thread where you don't belong.

If the two sides will NEVER agree to language changes then how do they have over 75% of the JCBA TA'd already?

And hasn't your group at SWA been negotiating for (FIVE) (5) years now? Wow what a messy disaster. Good Luck to you guys over there. You desperately need it NOW.
