JCBA Negotiations and updates for AA Fleet

Weez who were the kind folks that loaded a 76 on D22, AA 229 bound for DFW. Not a single bag sorted.

Over 90% of the bags on any widebody come out to us preloaded from the Bagroom. Not to make excuses but those guys in there bust their arse. Some piers just have too many flights coming down at the same time and it's just a free for all trying to get them scanned and in cans.

The main reason I left the Bagroom years ago. They work way too hard in there.

I might have to come down there and straighten that chit out. A couple of more @#%$ blizzards and I'm on my way or one more hour and a half ride from employee lot to terminal after waiting 30 mins for the bus.......and Weez don't play dumb when I ask you where all the brothels are ,we all know better

I remember this one strip joint in FLL, it was called the "loose caboose." It mainly was a joint for the stripers that could'nt get hired in the better places. And the girls generally had as the name implies, a larger posterior. I've been once, cheep beer and a good laugh.

Now back to business, coming from LAS, if I was in the bag room, and we brought out bags that were not sorted we would get a CR-1, no lie. Even when I work A,C or D side in DFW, I never co mingled anything. I even put in a separate cart all the ITI.

My point being, if bags are going to hub to hub Sort them!!!

Leave them alone Bob they were ordering lunch. They got to eat don't they?

100% agree. When they have the people working with them to get it done. Otherwise don't expect your Brothers and Sisters to kill themselves.
They shouldn't have to be sorted at the plane though. They should be sorted in the bagroom, unless they are being transferred from another flight.

If I was working in the Bagroom and they don't give me the help to be able to do the job properly cause I have 2 or 3 other flights coming down at the same time, I'll send them out as best I can. I'm NOT going to get hurt to satisfy perfection.

And however those cans come out to me on the gate of course I'm not going to redo them either. So unfortunately yes it will be the downline Station who will have to sort it all out and hopefully they'll QC that flight every time.

Before you condemn come to MIA and try working in that Hell Pit called our Bagroom.

And it does not happen all the time. Only when the S hits the fan.

Will happen almost never @ MIA. too many heavy flts per pier. too many rookies doing nothing. too many clueless management types. too much broken down/unavailable equipment. too much unacountability. too many lazy people in general. too much family. so pick which one you like but it will most likely never happen at MIA

I agree with WeAAsles. Don't expect them to kill themselves. They will be happy to pass that along to you and let you kill yourself.

How very UNION of you WeAAsles.

All bags should be sorted. Period!

Most of the time, they come out of the bagroom sorted. MIA, is a hub that has a 50/50 split, which has bags coming to a flight from many different points. At the gate we get bags from the bagroom (and different locations within the bagroom, such as oversize, expeditors and what they call "hot belts", connecting domestic flights, connecting international flights, connecting from other airlines. Aside from that, the load plan also causes bags to be mixed in common bellies.
