Change of subject. Is everyone scanning bags in the bagroom? I have never seen that in the policy.

that's being pressed hard here to the point of management watching at times at the claim belts
usually when asked about why we're doing any of that ,"that's the way AA does it" is a popular response for pretty much anything they change the way something is done

Meanwhile before the merger AA was behind US in every DOT category plus that didn't include Eagle which would have made them even worse. LUS always included their express operation in their numbers

Hey Al you start rotating yet? Heard they might change it to weekly instead of monthly? Any truth to that rumor?
Did not here that, I heard rumors of hundreds of dues objectors though. They want this to be a system wide vote not just three stations. Plus I'll be number 5 so I think that will get me a steady shift . You know how it is Weez as long as I get MINES

You put that vote into a JCBA and I think you'd have even less of a shot of it failing than just the Stations that will be affected.

Nah way better to just let you all be the deciders.

I recall reading something in our most recent online learning dump about how the plan was allow passengers to have a lost bag claim form sent to their smart phone before they arrive at the carousel, thus the passenger will "know" of a missing bag. However, I know from experience that the scanners providing all this data input either don't work, aren't used, or fail to read every bag tag. So in these situations are these passengers whose bags weren't scanned for whatever reason are going to flood into BSO based upon a smart phone message, as their bags circle the carousels behind them?

Furthermore, as the ramp agents have become the data input point in the bag tracking for passengers, Management will become more demanding especially with the chevalier attitude of some who eschew the consistent use of scanners.

So you think if DFW,MIA LAX,PHL,CLT think there may be a possibility they will rotate they would agree to it? Weez I know your Irish but it's a little early for even you to be sloshed

I don't know the problem you have with scanning when I work the bagroom sometimes I scan the same bag 3 or 4 times. Besides the scanners are already old tech there has to be something down the road that won't require manual scanners.

Doesn't matter Al since they've never done it before and it's not going to be confronting them anyway.

This issue is all yours so as Jesse Jackson use to say, the point is moot.
