Nah. Rat has 2 children and his insurance will spike. And what is sad is that he will be responsible for it. As for me talking to you, you got that backwards. You entered the iam political situation and im ok with that as i think its useful.
I barely get involved in your twu politics, even when NYer called that shot against you and you only got 11 votes.
At any rate, its pretty exciting times within the iam as we continue to tighten the vice on the grand lodge.

Hey Jerky are you hard of hearing? You got a bit of wax buildup in there. Need a squegie of warm water and a roll out? I told you it was 40 something running against at least 12 other people.

But how about these numbers in exciting times huh.

816 to 7
770 to 20

Yes I agree. Exciting times for those cats with 816 and 770 numbers. Suicide watch for the saps with 7 and 20. Sad.

You dont understand. NYer was right about you. Actually, he tried to help you but you stabbed him and your local in the back after he forced you to get only 11 votes. Unlike you, i have always supported my local. Unfortunately, you alienated yourself at your local and brought on a stressful situation for yourself that led to other personal issues. When nyer handed you your ass in a local election, you started begging the iam for a job. I heard you struck a deal to organize jetblue in fll but you dont realize they are bs you, bro.

Wow, what a mess this forum has turned into...Anyway, a JCBA is right around the corner...IMO

sorry my friend I kept my mouth shut as long as I could
I agree though seems like it’s getting closer anyway
What do you guys think about pay every week
Is it a way to reconcile we get paid one week you guys the other?

I don’t have to like you to agree with you do I. I agree with you on the mess, the JCBA we’ll see?
No W, you don't. I don't like or dislike you W, at this point we are just forum contributors who happen to work for the same company and not always see eye to eye. Chit happens!

Weekly payday doesn't really matter to me. I know some folks could really use the money sooner than every two weeks. Someone stated that it's a tax advantage but couldn't explain how. If that's the case, sure every week would be cool.

I know if I hit too much overtime the feds drill me.maybe a lower gross weekly then would been taxed at a lower rate?

See we can agree with each other after all. I’m fine with it too and have also been saying some people on the lower ladder rungs may really be happy about it.

Just going to have to make modifications I guess on the items being deducted is all.

Haven’t been paid weekly in 21 years.

According to the Great Swami, Google: Getting paid weekly vs other intervals does not reduce your taxes, the deductions are simply cut into smaller portions because you are paying them more frequently. If you total tax bill is $3000, then if you are paid bimonthly (15th and end of month), you will make 24 payments of $125 (assuming gross amount on each check is the same). If you are paid weekly, you will make 52 payments of $57.69 (let's not get into Leap Year, ok? :)).

If your paychecks are anything like mine were as a flight attendant, there was no standard deduction because no 2 checks were same gross amount due to the way our pay was calculated--for instance, expense money for this month would be paid in the end of month paycheck for next month, and would be based on total time away from base during this month--never the same from one month to the next. Therefore, the Federal withholding amount was never the same.

cltrat, the reason it seems that you are drilled by the Feds if you work too much overtime is because each time they calculate your tax deduction, it is assumed that the amount you are making this month will be the same for every month of the current year. Working a lot of overtime pushes you into a higher tax bracket with a higher percent deduction. If you normally make $48,000/yr ($4,000/month), but this month you worked $1000 worth of overtime, then your assumed annual (for this month) becomes $60,000.
