Please go away. Maybe this page would jumpstart then. Nobody missed you after your self imposed exile you imposed after your embarrassing "We will have a ta by Christmas."
Lmfao

Weez wasn't alone in his early predictions, but when he eventually gets a T.A. prediction right you'll know it by his celebration...

(kinda looks like him too.)

You see driver though. You’re recent news is the perfect example that I’m right. That was HUGE news and both your thread and the AA Maintenance thread should be on fire talking about it right now, but it’s not?
That's because the main people that are on there is AMFA is never wrong with this process, and it's all the company's fault. I am glad they didn't give the scope away. Most people are just tired of it. I was in Dallas last week, some of them say the same thing in private. We will see what happens, I am glad something was achieved. If it passes then the American guys have something to point too. I will be honest Weazz alot of mechanics think another reason this took so long, is that AMFA can have a bragging recruitment tool, for organization purposes ; look what we got for the SWA guys.

I’m going to avoid talking about the merits or not of your AIP. That’s your conversation to have. I just would enjoy reading more of it is all.

Tim:

When LUS gets out of the IAMNPF what are the implications fpr the fund, other active participants but most importantly the LUS members vested benefits? I wonder if I will hear the screaming from D.C. in BOS if/when that happens since it seems the company has publicly stated they want nothing to do with it going forward.

Josh
That's a great question, Josh. First off it's a win/win for the company and the IAM members since the company doesn't want the increased liability and wants to avoid the withdrawal fee. A win for the members insomuch that more money will be dumped into their benefits by the company and it won't be limited to just 40 hours a week or 1600 hours a year. $$$. This is true, as is. However, it's even better to get the hell out of the IAMNPF as a matter of smarts realizing that the IAM Pension Trustees will cut the pension again to keep it afloat, so it doesn't make much sense to allow them to steal half of our pension a second time. In America we say "Fool me once shame on me, fool......."

The damage to the fund will be extensive. American Airlines makes up 13% of the total plan participants, i.e., out of 95,000 participants, we are 12,000. It will tilt the fund like a teeter to about 70% of all participants are retired. Warning Will Robinson! Whatever the case, I'm thoroughly excited to start building my retirement by getting the hell out of this scam plan.

The page lost its appeal when it was allowed to become the equivalent of a high school bathroom wall

Too bad there isn’t a lump sum option I imagine if there was many would take it and run, not walk away.

For P. Rez, CB and anyone else looks like even back in 2006 the NW IAM DL143 membership had lukewarm reception at best to the plan, but it was the foremost priority in negotiations according to Kev:

UT--

Of all the items the company was asking for in each of the proposed concessionary agreements, the *one* thing everyone-junior, senior, 'tween- I spoke with were amenable to was the 401k match. NW would have frozen the pension anyway, so the choice was either the match, or the IAMNP plan. NO ONE wanted the IAM plan, yet it was the one thing the IAM fought hardest for. Not scope, not wages, their plan...

And just how much will retiring folks get from the IAM plan? No one can tell you! The officers in DL143 have no idea how much the multiplier will be.....

NYer, this question is directed at you and i hope it isnt sabatoged by one other poster who cuts in every conversation.
At what point do you start losing your health benefits after inactivity under your contract? For lus it is 9 months. Doesnt matter if its an injury or health problem off the job or not for us.
And does laa have a yearly cap on how much the employee cost can go up per year? I wanna say lus is 9% but I'm not sure.

If you want to organize other mechanics, and prove you are not a disaster like when you were at Northwest, you bring back a decent contract for your membership to vote on. Sorry I do have a clue, you're not seeing the big picture. But I am not going to hijack their page to argue with you.
