Dude, don't you think it's time to give up the hatred? You're talking of things that happened far in the past, involving a different regime. I'm as pissed as anyone about the hosing we took form Little and his boys, but for lack of a better term, there's a new sheriff in town, and I haven't seen any evidence to show that we are in for more of the same. Give these f%^@ers a chance. They are powerless at the bargaining table without you.

Great, another defender of the impotent union. Ok, well lets just use a starting point of the merger and the formation of the 591/association crowd.  Lets see, how much of a chance shall I give?  How's about another 2 years? Would that be enough?

I can't forget the past my wallet has been hurt to much by it. Let's see new people in charge but the same old same old. Let's see
If they wanted to change things they could of made a new constitution to allow us to vote on the Intl leaders . They could have also allowed us to recall officers in the Intl also. They could of allowed observers in negotiations. But they did not did . They will not let us know what the company hold up either. They are powerless at the table because they are a weak union with no balls . They had there chance with the new regime to make it the members Union but they still decided to be the same company ran union. The twu has screwed mechanics to many times. And I for one am tired of it. same Union the names have changed with the same results.

Are you the type of guy who sits around and whines all day?

The guy who brags about voting no on every contract?

Complains about Union non stop, but yet never does anything to change the union, like becoming a steward and working to make the situation better. I know it's much easier to complain and say what THEY should do. I'll bet you're the type of guy who would have been fired long ago if it wasn't for a union. I know your type, you offer nothing but yet sit in the breakroom and complain with your know nothing insight.

What are you doing to make things better?
speaking for my self I voted no on all the contracts. I have signed AMFA cards every time. Since the intl officers are not held accountable and are not elected by the members there is not much else to do. But after the pay cuts in 2003 jim little and his cronie were coming back from sju first class of course we all aligned the jet bridge both sides let him know how we felt of the pay cuts all he said was we were inmature. Since we could not recall him and since we have no vote . We we powerless to do anything. And instead of talking to us he walked away . That's what we're dealing with

Another I vote no on everything. Ugh

That's why we make so much less then everyone else. 2008 offered pay raise 2010 offered pay raise, all turned down because we didn't get everything back.

So you voted no in 2001? America is attacked with two of our planes, and our union negotiates a 21% pay raise and you vote NO!!!!!!!

Mental midgets, hopefully you're the type of guy who uses a TCC for everything, thinking isn't your strong suit.

You're only as powerless as you think you are.

i can assure you I never call tcc . I go on my gate calls and do my job by the iaw policy's . You don't agree with me so your defense is to say things about me. and say thinking is not my strong suite. I might not put things in writing well . But I can trouble shoot a 787 and 777 with no tcc help. And any other electronic airplane out there. Your a typical twu person who when you do not agree with a non twu person you bad mouth that person. I will keep posting here how ever if I do not seem smart enough for your high iq put me on your ignore list . GO AMFA

100% CORRECTOMENDO!!!  That is the problem with the majority of all mechanics at all the airlines and the companies know it, throw the money out there and they will never see the "hidden" work rules and other perks they are stealing from us. I have been preaching that for years. They all always see the $$$$$ and over look the other stuff that takes more from them than the increases the company is offering. Our company is trying to offer us peanuts for huge concessions in language. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN...
Pretty sure their next offer will be larger and most will only see the dollar signs $$$$$, pathetic I tell you...

exactly. What is the point in a big pay raise if you are just going to pay for it in other concessions? What is even better is when they expect people who will be laid off if the contract passes to still vote yes.

It's your juvenile way of thinking, as to why we are the lowest paid of the legacy airline mechanics.

So when we gave more concessions in 2012 and we got nothing for it, that was your plan? Doing things the smart way would have us making $42 an hour now, instead of the childish, "I want everything my way or NO", so we got nothing for an additional 8 years!!!! You really showed the company who's boss! Every mech would have over $60k in cash more sick days more holidays, it's a good thing you guys aren't running the airline.

We all know the past contracts were passed so TULE can maintain their lifestyle at the expense of everybody else.

Anybody airline mechanic can troubleshoot a 777 or 787, that's not overly impressive, 767/757, 737, and S80 now we're talking Avionic skills.

The 2008 deal was for a 2 year extension that gave us a pay raise, holidays and sick time. Our leaders said NO. We got nothing!!! But we did wait 2 more years for a 2010 contract, that was voted down, we did have layoffs anyway and we got nothing for it, and now it's 8 YEARS later !!!!!!

You guys really taught the company a lesson. You have successfully gave the company a concessionary contract for 13 YEARS with layoffs and outsourcing and you got nothing for it !!!!!!!

Now go look in the mirror and tell yourself how you're protecting the class and craft.

Why do people like you think American wasn't going to toss that contract out in bankruptcy? Management 101, get labor to sign a big work rule cutting contract right before bankruptcy with a big raise.....then go bankrupt....toss the big rase and cut work rules even deeper. You guys have the best scope in the industry and the only reason why is the majority of your peers were smart enough to watch what every other carrier had done and wasn't dumb enough to fall for the same trick. Very clear you play checkers bigjets and management plays chess.

but what do I know, I only have a MBA in management.......

and you are damn right I work to protect the craft and class. If the I got mine people like you would get the hell out of the way it would make it so much easier for people who do care about the majority of the industry to do better.
but people like you work with management everyday to beat down the craft and class.

you really need to get over the Tulsa vs line thing. Management is playing you like a fool every single time you cry over it.

divide the work group, let them in-fight then go after a contract. That way the workers cut their own throats and the company just sits back and counts the money. Management 101.
