Is Amfa A Union?

Ask the Following:

Allied Pilots Association
Association of Professional Flight Attendants
International Association of Machinist

Two of the three represent other work groups at AA. If they are NOT a union, those employees seem to fair better without one.

Of course you could further and ask more:

International Assocation of Fire Fighters
Air Line Pilots Association
National Education Association
Oklahoma Education Association
Actors' Equity Association (AEA)
Air Traffic Controllers Association, National (NATCA)
American Radio Association (ARA)
California School Employees Association (CSEA)
International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers
International Longshoremen's Association (ILA)
International Union of Police Associations (IUPA)
Marine Engineers' Beneficial Association (MEBA)
National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC)
Sheet Metal Workers International Association (SMWIA)
United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing, Pipefitting and Sprinkler Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada (UA)

Question:
How many of the Above are AFL-CIO UNIONS?

Answer:
Unions Affiliated with the AFL-CIO

The reason I ask is that in order to charge one with dual unionship you would have to prove an association is or is not a union...true?

Not TRUE!

See above.

We know you cannot accurately define "SCAB", but can you define "Union"?

At what point in time did I ever refer to a scab? Or attempt to define one? I think you have me confused with another one of your admirerers.

Well if you leave it up to the TWU to determine if the AMFA is a union it depends on what they are after. If it is dual unionism then Yes the AMFA is a union. If the TWU wants to compare itself to the AMFA then NO the AMFA is not a real union. Jim Little in the past has mentioned in his letters that AMFA is not a real union since they are an Association and not AFL-CIO affiliated. It seems that with the TWU they have had it both ways depending on what arguement was.
I beleive the NLRB or the NMB determine which organisations are unions regardless of their name or affiliation. But you can not tell that to the TWU. The TWU is in a world of its own.

Nightwatchman,
is your memory akin to a cockpit voice recorder. Records for twenty minutes then loops over previously recorded data. I ask because we all know that even you know the answer to the silly question you ask. Instead of yapping just to be heard, give us some fresh insight as to when the Mighty TWu is going to bring back our laid off union brothers and sisters along with our concessions we gave. As your ilk stated weeks ago, the AMFA has conceded that there will not be a vote for union representation. So what are you guys waiting for? Oh, that's right, the NMB hasn't issued it's final ruling yet! Me think's a "#### SLAP" may be in the offing for the TWu. And if not now, a year from now.

Now go out to recess and enjoy your chocolate milk!!!

Are you saying that many AMFA Supporters have just cause to sue the twu for placing them in bad standing for dual unionism? Hell, weren't you a star witness for the Cunningham dual unionism trial?

Remember Nightass Whiskey and diabetes don't mix well, put down the bottle.

nw, I would consider a union/association to be democratic to be considered a union. So the answer to your question is yes, AMFA is a union. At AMFA all union positions are voted on by the membership. Unlike the twu where those willing to sell out their union Brothers & Sisters are rewarded with an APPOINTMENT to the international. Am I wrong? No. I am right and I am posting the truth with my real name.

Now, try answering why the twu is not a union. From behind an alias of course. ;)

Why did I know you all would get bent out of shape with my question? The only reason I was asking was because of the way our constitution speaks of dual unionship. I was simply wanting to know if the amfa organizers/flag waivers could be charged with dual unionship.

I realize Cunningham was charged, as an elected official, being paid by the TWU. What my thoughts were was why hasn't the organizers been charged as well? And speaking of Cunningham, what an idiot. I hear he wore his amfa t-shirt to his trial and then cried he wouldn't get a fair shake, another lost brain surgeon.

And really, the only time I could see charging someone for dual unionship would be to remove them from an office, be it steward or president.

And really Ken, can we all hear just one more time about the "coward posting aliases" of the TWU? Man, you're a real broken record sounding idiot. Do you make any of the amfa boys that use aliases mad about the coward routine? Probably not, to dumb.

Anyhow girls, thanks for the time and effort you put into this thread.

Nightbitch,

Which trial are you talking about? There were two. The first one at the Local 567 Union Hall, he did not wear an AMFA shirt. The twu lost the first Kangaroo Court led by "567 lead council", Matt "Captain Smirnoff" Lorenzi. Then in a not so amazing twu twist, the ultimate twu coward... Sunny Hall, AGAIN files charges on Company Man Dan because they lost the first time, and they can't have that. Of coarse, 'ol Sunny sent his henchmen in for the kill this time, because he is too much a coward to face Dan in person. The "trial" was on a weekday morning so no one could attend at a DFW hotel. I think your clueless alter ego Earl Connel was a star witness for the show. What a shock huh?

Dan did wear a AMFA shirt for the twu International lynch mob, but only to deliver a written statement, and then he left the farce. I guess they must have loved the shirt and the statement, because they banned him from the twu for life!!! What a LUCKY GUY!!!!

With all this moronic BS, the twu made themselves look like the Commies they are. They removed any doubt that they must be ousted as the AA M@R Union.

What a bunch of dumbasses, and you fit right in.

So you still think Connell and I are the same person, and I'm the dumbass? Listen up DA, Connell is not balding, nor does he have diabetes, at least I've never heard him talk of it anyhow. You keep the dream though you lardass.

And as for your hero Danny boy, what a real image of an educated leader. I heard his first trial was a real farce so the local asked the International for another trial, true? And you think he was unjustly prosecuted? Going to MCI as an E-Board member and promoting another union? A leader? A leader of what? A leader of ignorant, egotistical, wannabe a hero, you pump me up, hobbit followers, such as yourself. You wouldn't recognize a real union man if he came up and noogied your flat head. You'd rather dream of being a loser like your unemployed brother, well dream on dummie.

oh yeah...I didn't like your "uncle Hackett" either, I thought he sucked.

Now, go have a great TWU day!

Did I say you were Earl? I said you alter-ego, because the twu has programed all Team twu clowns the same, "we saved your job", "AMFA bad; twu good", etc. I know your too much a coward to step out from behind the mask. Your twu International leaders can't even show up to a debate and defend themselves, they send twu suckboys like you to do they're bidding. Its the twu cowards way of doing business.

Your not 'ol Gordo L. Clark are you? He's a real genuis too. Got a copy of the letter he wrote to "Captain Smirnoff" at Local 567 about the "AMFA raid" at AA. He states that; "AMFA will probably not be allowed to force a representation election of the American Airlines property at this time". I the same letter, he states; ....TWU Local 530 wishes to extend their congratulations and appreciation for the concentrated efforts which resulted in an unsuccessful raid by AMFA". The idiot can't make up his mind, did you stop AMFA or not? Yeah, probably.....jeeze.

"I heard his first trial was a real farce". Sure it was, the twu had Matt "Captain Smirnoff" Lorenzi as "twu lead council", with Kirk "The Felon" Wells as lead witness. Going up against Gary Shiable and Company Man Dan was no contest, the twu lost hands down. Hell, Lorenzi has lost almost all of the arbitrations he has been in, so losing this one was no different for him, he's use to losing.

The twu just can't stand the heat, so they lash out like jack booted Commie dictators do to try and crush the competition. If the twu did they're job, there wouldn't be an AMFA card drive. Business unionism is dead, and you can look at your former IAM and witness this first hand with all the airlines they have lost to AMFA. The twu will be no different here at AA.

Here's the deal old man. You have not been here at AA long enough to know the twu like we do. So your opinions don't mean much. You think the twu are your friends because your lucky to still be working at MCI after the buyout of TWA. Sadly, you just don't know any better. I think your going to get a dose of twu reality very soon, I hope you survive it. Good Luck. ;)
