The only problem is that I BELEIVE fleett setvice at american already make more then fleet service at delra.wouldn't count on a big raise., unless of course the twu sells out maintenance for fleet. Like usual.
7% above the top DL base wage comes out to about $26.50. They also have shift differential at both DL and in the IAM contract at UAL. The average is 50 cents. We currently make $23.00. We'll see where things go?

Oh and Dfw gen we are currently bottom of the industry in top base rates by almost $2.00.

Not sure what you need to do first, invest in a free spellchecker, or check your facts before you post.
I'm sure anything fleet gets will probably be off the back or at the expense of you.

I think this topic should be locked, because IAMPF offers little to nothing for those over 45. The IAM might bait all of you in thinking that you might have a tidy sum in the end, but the TRUTH of the matter is that the individual has to put in more Future Time, to the tune of 30 years. And honestly, most will not make it past 8 years. Go for the bigger contribution towards your 401 instead.

Agree, my point exactly. We are too late in the game to start over. It's like the scam artists who convince the elderly to invest their life savings in a scam and end up broke and on the local news how they got taken.

So you want to stifle the conversation because it doesn't fit in with what YOU would prefer? Where I work they have been hiring kids all over the place. I even talked to an 18 year old the other day. Yes the new generation is coming in and they may be looking for choices even if you're not.

And it's not about what our negotiators (not you) go for, it's about ultimately what is achieved. The offer that eventually sits on our desks may have "Choice" and personally I like that idea.

And if you're going to croak 8 years after you leave that's too bad. Guess you don't take very good care of yourself then?

Lets lock all the mechanic threads where amfa is mentioned since you and others failed again to get enough cards, since its dead once again.

If we lock the amfa threads then what will you do with all your spare time? Get a life will you?

Here's another question? On that part about going back to work in your carrier field and the IAMPF freezing my benefits till I decide to sit my butt down and only get up when I'm heading to the golf course. It's pretty clear that if I was say a Mechanic I "might" want to go work for a small corporation that owns 3 private jets in the future? Ok so if the IAMPF administrators find out they will stop my payments.

Is there any way that they would find out that I took another job at 62 or 65? Unless they send out a PI to tail me, how would they know what I'm doing?

If you are thinking about accepting any employment
after you retire, please contact the Fund office to get
a ruling on that employment.

If the Trustees find, from any source, that you have
worked in employment as just described and you have not
notified the Fund, the Trustees will presume that you are
working 40 hours a month in disqualifying employment
and will suspend your pension for that month and each
subsequent month until you give written notice that you
are no longer working or establish that the employment
is not disqualifying employment.

So as I read it. A mechanic who retires from JFK could take a job with a company located in Butte Montana and his IAMPF proceeds are being direct deposited into his personal banking account and he could maintain a PO box for any type of correspondence sent to him from the funds administrators? Again how are they going to find that guy?
