How many AMTs does AA have?

For me I think its a safty concern, you won't like someone with zero years of experience, returning an aircraft back to service in day shift maint. line, like the IAM does.

Thats why I think their should be a AMT class Craft, instead of all this Mechanics and related, its a safty concern that may bite someone with this new fly by wire jets.
Don't worry FEE-FEE the french hoer airbus will tell you when she think it's broken, That is if FEE-FEE is not confused by a voltage spike and that is your job to figure out and you will get use to the normal FEE-FEE glitches.

So if I read this list right if a 30 year cleaner gets his A@P being title 1 would his cleaner seniority carry over to AMT?
Yeah, that is some TWU BS!!

Here, you would be a high time cleaner (Utility), on your own list.

As a Mechanic, you would be on another list, at the bottom, on your 90 day probation.  If you don't cut it, it's back to a cleaner.

He would be picking his vacation before you, and bumping you off a flight and leaving you stranded at the airport gate, as a new hire Mechanic, though!

When we first got the BUS 320's years ago we called them the a-360 or boomerang because it would push off and taxi out and back to the gate. Trust me they are 100% better now.

That is exactly how It should be. Company seniority for vacation bidding and non-rev boarding priority. Classification seniority for shift, days off, overtime calls. Classification would be:

Lead Inspector
Inspector
Lead Mecanic
Mechanic
Lead Cleaner
Cleaner

The only difference between mechanics is the license premium. You also would have to qualify to bump a mechanic positron.
That was also the way it was done at NWA under the AMFA agreement.
