My pure speculation is that they want to announce something "good" with the bad, so are keeping a tight lip until after the BOD makes some decisions.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – US Airways directors are expected to discuss the company's financial woes at a meeting Friday.

The directors met in Charlotte on Wednesday, but there is no word regarding the outcome of the meeting.

Good news??? Not from this outfit, not in the last 15 years anyway. IF they have any good news, it will be good for them and bad for the troops.

I agree wholeheartedly. I didn't mean to give the impression that it would be good news for us worker bees, just something they could point to and say "See, this will make everything better."

I gotcha.....It just struck me funny to put "Good news" in the same sentence with this outfit. I wouldn't recognize good news if it did come along anymore.
