Followers not leaders like the east!
What is your position with this company sir? Pilot, F/A, Ramp, mechanic, res what???
His position's amongst the most important = A long time, high-paying CUSTOMER
Not an employee then he has no say in our EMPLOYEE issues.
We fully differ there. I'd say that the customer base has ALL the final say on "little things"....like the continued existence of this sad clusterF.
Dude, are you that thick?
Doug doesn't want two separate airlines.
When are you going to figure that out?!?!
Dude, are you that thick?
Not an employee then he has no say in our EMPLOYEE issues. He has no REAL inside information outside of what's placed on this forum and it's rather insulting to have a customer make statements about our arbitration. He really needs to stick to the passenger forum...
Not cool at all Pineybob!!!
Well I guess we will have to differ. You see customer have no place in our internal union debates. Now I realize Bob idolizes you fine east folk however if he wants a say in the union then he can go to flight school get hours, get hired get off probation then he has a say. Until that or absent his membership he has no say...
AWA320,
The vast majority of the East pilots believe the Nicolau Award violated ALPA Merger Policy. Furthermore, the Transition Agreement indicates you cannot have a joint contract without a seniority list integration; therefore, the problem.
Now the Rice Committee has proposed 3 options: separate contracts and separate operations, a joint contract or separate operations, or the AWA pilots beginning Section 6 negotiations. Following the meeting with Paul Rice the US Airways MEC passed a resolution indicating they believe the best option is separate contracts and separate operations, which is the only negotiation now permitted.
With that said, I believe the East pilots would encourage the West pilots to enter into Section 6 negotiations so the West pilots can obtain a better contract.
Let me ask you this.
What is wrong with either a separate contracts and separate operations or a joint contract or separate operations? This would preserve pre-merger career expectation and prevent the East pilots from bidding PHX or LAS. Furthermore, the East and West pilots could obtain a pay raise.
What's wrong with keeping pre-merger career expectations and obtaining contract improvements per the Rice Committee's or US Airways MEC's new resolution?
Regards,
USA320Pilot
Suddenly quiet on doing away with the Nic' award......reality come home to roost??
No genius, I said I declined to return from furlough. Now they say that you are not even main line but that cool because you have an opinion. Read the three post above this one and I think you may get the picture...
As a customer I don't give a rat's rear end about Nicolau. Far as I'm concerned you can settle the seniority issue by playing Co-ed naked twister.
Dougweiser has shown us who he is character wise and integrity wise. His words and actions speak for themselves so why interupt.
