What's new

Hawaii Service

OK, I corrected my typo does that make me smarter now?

That kind of name calling shows who lacks what.....
Actually it had nothing to do with any typo, just the general character.

HP's oldest 757 was built in 1984 and there newest was built in 1985.

I don't think that's right, 908, 909, 910 were the only ones delivered new to AWA and they are from like 88 or 89. the other ETOPS 57's they have were delivered new to Republic in like 85 and 86 and were taken up by AWA after the Republic merger with Northwest with those being farely new at the time.

I am sure you Facts are lacking as usual.
🙄 Oh how this isn't even worth a response

The Authorization on that flight is less then 10.
Also that 757 is not an old piece of junk but only around 10 years old.
🙄 Ever since the management team from the former HP took the wheel EVERYTHING they are in control of is JUNK.

Have some facts or better yet a point or just go away!
The FACT that I know a crew member WORKING that flight is enough FACT for me. On and as for going away......NOPE! ! ! Oh dealing with you wouldn't even be worth a trip to the fields. You have NO credibility here anyway. Be gone before somebody drops a house on YOU too.

I am talking about when they were built, not obtained by HP.

HP's 757s

Click on the msn and line # and you will see when the plane was built and whom it was delivered to it shows 913 built in 1984 and delivered to Eastern.

And the newest one was 910 which was built in 1989.

I know all of that and who the planes were built for delivered to and when. I was just saying that their newest 57 was not built in 85, however around 88 or 89 and was built for and delivered new to HP. The oldest 57's they have were built for and delivered new to EA, just the same as our oldest East 57's. The difference between the HP ex Eastern 57's and the East former Eastern 57's is that USAir eventually gutted the former Eastern birds and configured them with new galley's and interiors to mirror the new 57's that were being delivered.

Aircraft 913, N913AW, is no longer in our fleet. I believe this is one of the planes that Fed Ex has recently acquired.

913AW is still showing as an active airplane.

And Stew, I corrected the info in the second post, to reflect the newest HP 757.

700,
If you have access to Sabre, enter RGOS and it will show that 913 is a lease return, test hop.

It may be an active airplane, but it is certainly not flying any passengers under the US Airways banner any longer. There's a small group of us FAs that prefer to work the 757 almost exclusively and we are usually among the first to know what's going on with the aircraft because our fleet of 757s is so small (and getting smaller 🙁 ).

Update and correction,
913AW is parked and going away any day.
The 757 in Aruba is 918UW and that one is 25 years old.
I had wrongly assumed that flying to AUA it would be an ETOPS 757, which are the youngest on the East side. We basicly have to sets of 757s newer ones and older ones.
21 are 18-25 yrs old and 23 are 7-13 yrs old. So half the fleet and all of the west 757s are getting up there, but the other half are not old at all.

Well as for the AUA debacle it's just US (excuse me HP) style of running an airline. People on that flight with FULL FARE tickets have been bumped THREE count them THREE times. Just imagine ALL the money Usairways is paying for free tickets each time they are bumped and the cost for international bumps. Add in Hotels and meal vouchers for every passenger. The oversells that added up to almost 50 was an accumulation over the past few days. ALL the flights were oversold. 10 + 10 + 10 but "I" don't know what I'm talking about. They (AUA agents) were begging and pleading for US to send another a/c to get these people OUT of here. They finally agreed to send an airbus 319. I guess thats better than nothing. You'd THINK they'd at least send a 767. Keep blowing the cash "LCC"....just keep blowing it. 🙄
