Adjourned and resumed at 9am (IIRC) today.

The problem is that if the Mainline MEC does not drop their stance on seniority for bidding there will be no deal from us at PSA and the jets will most likely go to MESA.

That will result in the following for the furloughed pilots:

1. Worse pay than PSA

2. Worse work rules. How does 8 days off a month on reserve sound?

3. Less jobs overall due to fewer pilots wanting to work there.

How is this good for your furloughed bretheren?

If the MEC wants something in return for relaxing their scope I COMPLETELY agree. However that is something that needs to be taken up with mainline management, not the PSA FO's who make next to nothing.

SKeezer,

you hit the nail on the head they sure wern't to concerned about sending the 70's to MESA without getting super senority for there furloughed pilots. This could have all been resolved years ago but the mainline MEC and pilot group always felt that they were the only ones "qualified" to fly jets. Hope you guys over at PSA hold your ground

Unfortunately under the terms of the current scope 25 CRJ 700's can already go to MESA. Of course they can't be the one's financed by US Airways group but I'm sure MESA could swing that. US Airways seems to have realized that the 50 seater is high cost and operationally limited and wants to conver the remaining 50 seat orsers to 70 seaters thus auiring 60 CRJ 701's. The easiest solution for the company(not the mainline pilots) is for them to go to PSA since the training, manuals, and maintenace exist. The best course for the pilots and the rest of the work groups is they go to MDA which would increase the number of so called "soft landing jobs" I think it is clear where I would wish them to be. MDA is the closest thing to having them on a single operating certificate and contract. I wish the WO were included as well but again this is a structural problem with ALPA. If not I hope a return is attained and one specifit to the furlough pilots affected by the continuance of replacemnt flying. Again 25 have already been let out of the barn with the original LOA but that could also be remidied with quid pro quos as MESA has yet to enter any into service under the US Airways code.

 Its about time he cuts the pilots pay to were it should have been about 5 yrs ago ,u would have never had to file bk.

Don't be jealous, you made your choice in life not to follow your job, when are you gonna realize this and move on?

All your negativity is not good for your health.

 I was sold out to protect pilot pay and benefits .This time its your turn ,
how does it feel ,real good I hope!

You were not sold out, you are were a ramper, you had the right to transfer to keep your job.

For the millionth time, you CHOSE NOT TOO, blame yourself and no one else, no union took cuts to protect or save another unions jobs, benefits or wages, but you love to blame everyone else for your job loss when it was your own choice.

Thousands of employees in this company have transfered to save their job, you did not, so now live with it and stop blaming everyone else, act like an adult and accept the truth.

And I am not a pilot, I took several paycuts myself.

So try again.

700 enjoys following people around and going personal. Try again is getting old how about a new slogan!

You need to seek help, it seems you are obsessed with me and the IAM, by the way don't waste your time, ISP time telling me what to do, you are not my Mother or Father.

It is my understanding that the ALPA MEC voted to send out LOA 91, RJ Scope Relief, for membership ratification.

The MEC has not yet reached a consensus on re-staffing the Negotiating Committee and the meeting will resume at 9:00 a.m. Friday morning.
