Great. A lone voice in a giant chorus of "if you haven't done anything wrong, you've got nothing to worry about."

Actually at the time it made me feel a bit uneasy. Knowing that with all government intentions, its a slippery slope. Inevitably mission creep expands into areas not originally intended. And so it came to fruition.

 
So you should have taken up arms back then.  You didn't.  Our forefathers are still ashamed of you.  FWIW...I was opposed to the Patriot Act when it was introduced, "debated" and passed in 3 days time...and I was opposed to the Patriot Act when Obama extended it.  You just didn't like the extension under a democrat.
 
A long time ago when I was posting here and the act passed, I had said that if you let it happen when the "good guys" were in office....you would have it in place when the "bad guys" were in office.  But...I was a terrorist supporting America hater back then.  Hate to say I told you so....but I told you so.  Oh how I wish those with such strong knowledge of the constitution would have risen up against such tyranny...but they were to busy cranking up the Lee Greenwood songs.

Crowder visited several weapon vendors at a gun show and attempted to buy a gun without a license, resulting in a hilarious failure that he recorded on a hidden camera. He then featured the undercover stunt on his web-based series Louder With Crowder.
