How is this a straw man argument when I am using YOUR words that YOU posted in a response to ME?  If anyone is dancing the straw man dance, then it must be YOU for introducing the comments that the founding fathers enacted the second amendment to protect us from government overreach, which apparently was a diversion to my comments that the most common weapons available when the constitution was written were muskets and single shot pistols.    I have given you ample opportunity to address that.  The best you can do is call yourself out with a strawman dance.  Did they not have any Spongebob videos that were appropriate.

In the discussion about using your second amendment rights to protect us from government overreach did I ever use the words "what if"?  it DID happen.  You and other constitutionalists did nothing.  The founding fathers would be ashamed of you.

What's an arm in colonial days?
it was a gun plain and simple. It was then and it is now, just because there are more now it doesn't change anything as much as you would like it to.
here's the definition

weapons and ammunition; armaments.
"they were subjugated by force of arms"
synonyms: weapons, weaponry, firearms, guns, ordnance, artillery, armaments, munitions, matériel
"the illegal export of arms"

I'm not going back and forth with you on this arms are guns no matter how much you hate them and want them banned. Have a great day!

With that type logic, we didn't have automobiles, refrigerators, air conditioning, radio, TV, aircraft, etc.

So we must go back to picking up horse pies in the street to keep and bear flintlocks?

But then again, Liberals say its only for hunting.

Good point, if deer ever decide to takeover the country and institute tyranny, we'll be ready.

"After the shooting, Lee was arrested by SWAT team officers who found him unconscious in the car. Authorities say Lee woke up during the arrest and resisted officers."

Guys like this with guns make us all safer?

He broke the law. Its unlawful to posses a firearm under the influence. CC or not. So the system worked. He broke the law, he got arrested and will pay the price.
