If the APFA contract eventually gets abrogated, is it conceivable the company will add language to expand the scope foreign nationals are permitted to work and perhaps increase their ranks? Personally, I've had better and more consistent on board service from them than their APFA counterparts.

your blood pressure. We all have a "real" Josh in our life and have learned to deal with him. You can do the same

Aren't you too busy scamming innocent victims, selling toxic assets derivatives, to be spending time here?
 
Rather than get worked up by Josh, the simple answer is that the US government probably would not grant any further foreign based FAs and it is likely that AA is using the ones it has to the greatest extent they can be used.

In this case, strict immigration laws (few new visas) will help prevent the possibility of further US airline jobs being outsourced.

I'd still like to know how many foreign based FAs AA has in Latin America and what countries they serve.
There is no doubt that they are a significant part of why Latin America does so well for AA.
 
Easy to pig-pile when you don't like the questioner, but it's still a valid question, folks... Today, the foreign based FA's are limited to a handful of legacy EA routes.

Is it really inconceivable to think that a LIM based FA could be scheduled to work a LIM-MIA-CUR routing, versus just being tied to LIM-MIA-LIM? Today it is contractual, but I do seem to recall that during the strike, there were a few foreign nationals who got sent out to work international turns.
 
The simple answer is that AA will not be able to re-write the contract to add things not in the AA proposal to the FAs. If AA isn't proposing now to make such a change, it won't be imposed if AA abrogates the contract.
 
To be perfectly honest, APFA should be trying to curtail their flying and make them do what United has to do with theirs. Furlough them if there is any furloughs of APFA members. Or make them belong to the union and make them members of APFA. They might help with Latin America, I just wish they spoke better English. They seem to make EPT's/CQ class go longer than needed when they can't understand the instructors or fail to show up because they couldn't be bothered to arrive on time.

To be perfectly honest, I always believed the F/A's had larger nads than our amt's, especially after the crandall strike. I can't believe YOU will stand idly by and watch 2300 union based F/A's hit the street while foriegn nationals stay on and work side by side with you all.

Say what you want about the EA union workers, but they didn't allow Lorenzo to push them around. They knew what their fate was when they all decided to wildcat, but they did it anyway. Talk about having balls!
 
Didn't these foreign national FAs arrive with the AA purchase of Eastern routes in 1990? Perhaps they are former Eastern employees?
