Is anyone reallly interested in increasing flights to Charlotte, Pittsburgh, or Philly? Our hubs are kind of crappy, that's why they are generally left alone.

In the past several years, there has been increased flying into CLT from big legacy carriers. The first was CO adding CLT-CLE frequencies, then NW adding MEM-CLT. ATA arrived (I know it is an LCC) from MDW-CLT, and more recently AA added MIA-CLT and UA added DEN-CLT (after the codeshare). The AA frequencies have gone from 2x to 4x daily CLT-MIA. DL has now announced CLT-JFK on DL Connection for TransAtlantic connections. If CLT is so crappy, why have all these flight been added in the past 4 or 5 years?

They already have, that's my point. What more is there to add?

And since they were already doing it before we started expanding, what's going to make them stop? They aren't going to back off just because US continues to be a cry-ass and not even try to compete.

With the new productivity there's the equivalent of more aircraft in the US Airways fleet. They could continue to give planes 3 hour rests on the ground, or add more silly flights to nowhere, or try to fly to the big cities. I think they made the best choice.
