Flyonthewall Doesn't Speak The Truth

Boeing,

Don't try to educate Bob on the facts, that would just burst his bubble and he is having to much of a good time at our expense parading some hypothetical number CCY gave him. Let him have some joy. The facts will just kill him., poor man.

Bob,

Perry did respond, you didn't accept his answer. I've been telling you that your source in CCY exaggerated the % to convey a problem, by incuding all medical leaves, LTD, OJI, FMLA, maternity etc. in the sick equation. I've said this to you, but you ignore me.

Bob,

Hope all goes well in the windy city.

That's why I stuck to what I know. And I'll admit that pilots medical disability is somewhat different from others. We have the FAA medical standards to contend with, so you can see a pilot on the street that looks perfectly fine but that has some condition or medication that keeps him/her from flying.

Jim, good points. But I still think it's way out of line for a customer to start dictating work rules to an employee group. I find it enormously disturbing that management may have fed this sort of diatribe to a customer.

Pit,

I'll stick up for Bob here. I've found that he is trainable - it just takes a few tries sometimes.

Bob,

I have to admit that I spent a couple of hours poring over the seniority list to gather the info I presented. It's not the sort of info that is just lying around to be quoted - unless you're in CCY.

As I said somewhere else - statistics can be used to paint many pictures. Consider the sources agenda when you hear them (even mine!!!)

Jim

Yea, Bob. Goddess suits me fine, I'll take it!

With regard to apologizing, I have apologized many times to posters when an aplogy is appropriate. Yesterday, I apologized to MMW. You missed it.

Can't afford to bet anymore - or rather I can't afford to lose if it comes to that.

Not even the over/under on your departure position in PHL :D ?

Heck Clue, the new ACARS software shorts me more pay than the over on PHL can make up for on a typical trip.

Bob,

I have no interest in convincing you of anything when it comes to our group. I doubt Perry does either....

INCOMING!

First off Walmart Greeter, I actually ENJOY my job! It affords me many luxuries and many travel perks. I make the best of my situation.
Have you been gracing us with your business for...let me see...10...20..or 30...maybe 35 years? You are about as informed to the situation as is the local news in PIT. The employees, including the F/A leadership and members, have been giving management EVERYTHING they have wanted for DECADES...get that, each decade is 10 years. We endure the punishement from local PIT people in our own neighorhoods with such comments as " you need to work with management" and "you are the reason my ticket costs so much." Now we get you, day after day telling us how we are a steel company with a bunch of burnt face workers pouring out of a mill complaning about the quality of the soap in the bathrooms. You are wrong. You are not informed. You do not have clue. You are the guy riding the bumper cars at Kennywood complaining about the paint job on your car. Give it a rest. The more you proclaim your presence, the more we doubt you. Take a rest, get that extra bag of pretzels, and for gosh sakes, leave US alone. ENOUGH.

Hey buddy, my friends tell me they are losing NOTHING due to ACARS. I am sure your friends are taking care of their crews! Best. Greeter.

Walmartgreeter,

First, I took Clue's comment to me as friendly kidding and replied with tongue firmly in cheek.

Second, if your friends are telling you that they are either not flight crew, flying the Airbus, accepting the new ACARS criteria as the way God & Dave meant it to be and therefore correct, or know a secret method of fooling the ACARS. If they meet either of the first two criteria, good for them. If they meet the third, they have my regrets. If the fourth, maybe you can ask them to share the secret.

Jim

Bob,

And my issue is with you alone, and your deviant motives aganist unions, union leaders, and specific union leaders that YOU can't control or manipulate to behave as you wish so you can go back to mangement as if you have some kind of credibility with our group.

I have explained this in the past to you ad nauseum. We are 5,200 acitive f/as left. Any given day our sick calls system wide is less than 100 f/as. Therefore, the numbers you received from management (and I have no idea why they would share that info with you a pax) are sckewed as they added all lost time, LTD, FMLA, Maternity, Medical, off on work related injuries OJI. They did not separate them out. Other than that we are a normal group with normal illnesses. Period.

As an aside, you are pretty clueless on the AFA-CWA vote from your above comments, and with regard to the other labor groups and how they vote, you have me mistaken for some other poster.

Get it right.
