The reason why specifics are not posted as if they IAM and the company agree on something, post it then the company pulls it off the table, the membership will blame the union.

well if the company can "pull it off the table" then apparently there was no "agreement", bessides the IAM would never be blamed for ANYTHING that said they will not do

first "their" word isworth nothing... if something is agreed, post it, there would would be something signed from the company, or notes of the meeting, then if it is removed, or "pulled off the table" then post that for members to see.


yes i have been a part of negotiations before, the ibt was good at posting online the current progress of negotiating and they actually came out to see the paying rank and file, not just a 3 or four line "update " to same the same thing, NOTHING
case in point, all through the bickering of which union to get behind the IBT stated they wanted to get sec6 negotiating underway and not wait for the year 2009. the IAM counter, and you with them that the BK cba can not be chaged...yada yada yada...now the IAM says that they are working to get 10 holidays, 100% sick pay, pension and more work swaps... is that not changing the CBA that was set by BK... then the smell test of the IBT saying that it could be done past, and the IAM lied about it not being changed
Once again i believe the IAM is lying just to get what they want and the west are an after thought. I wished US would have got the financing w/o HP, then we could see if the US men actually got the money people, or if they sold themselves and US out to get their money and let the employees take it in the shorts

US is no longer in chapter 11 nor are they in Section 6 negotiations, during Transition Agreement Negotiations anything can be negotiated to reach a single CBA, it is apparent you have not been in a merger before.

The IBT claimed they could reopen and do section 6 negotiations which was the lie.

no the ibt said they wanted to do what the iam is doing now, get the best of both in a contract, the iam and you said that the bk cba could not be changed, and sec 6 was the only way to change the cba, er go the bk cba would have to stand as is until amendable... remember?????
