What's new

First A350 visit to DFW

FWIW, it's a lot prettier than an A380.

I can't believe anyone would show up to see a "new" airplane model flyby, especially since the design is nothing particularly new.  It was understandable that, in the early 1970s, people ined up for hours at St. Louis-Lambert Airport to walk through the new TWA Boeing 747.   It was, and in some ways still is, a radical departure from previous airplanes.  I would have understood the cheering crowd for the A380 for identical reasons.

The A350 simply looks like an A330 from a distance.  Who cares?

I don't think so, but it is supposed to be a shorter course to transition from an A330 to A350.

To me it looks like a carbon fiber weave.  I think it's pretty cool.
